From the bottom of our hearts to you all, thank you thank you THANK YOU for showing up and showing out with your support last week for both our virtual kick-back and our digital conversation around abolition in honor of the #Stonewall anniversary. And many thank yous to the brilliant performers, our amazing DJ, our incredible panelists who helped us in making these events come to fruition and be everything and more we hoped them to be!
Because of your support and shared energy, our Stonewall celebrations were sexy, fierce, and TURNT just as we hoped. Thank you for showing up for SNaP Co and for our beloved Trancestors who fought for our joy today. This is also a thank you to the many people who have showed up beyond last week through donations, boosting our org, and open collaboration. We can’t even begin to thank you enough! Without you all, our work would be much harder to do and lonelier in the process. Thank you for support, but also thank you for community always!!!

Much like Stonewall’s occurrence on June 28, 1969 was in response to police brutality; SNaP Co.’s legacy began in 2013 as a direct response to the criminalization of sex workers in the city of Atlanta. SNaP Co. is continuing the legacy of Marsha P. Johnson, Sylvia Rivera, STAR, and Stonewall Uprisings by centering the leadership of trans women, demanding greater resources from Trans sex workers and the larger ATL community, and calling for abolition from the police state.
