  • Hitting a munro AM tomorrow with @ferguscrawley. Reminding me of my last trip up north at the start of the year visiting Skye. Hoping this is us slowly getting back to some sort of normality, something tells me tomorrow's conditions might not be like this ๐ŸŒง. My wheels are already worrying about the prospect of whats to come. #Doms @hiddenscotland

  • Missing those green Italian lakes. Italy is definitely on the list to return ASAP, so much of it I want to explore but constantly drawn back to the Dolomites. Any italian recommendations I can add to the list? ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น #VisitSouthTyrol

  • #RealPeople / 3 / Gary, Firpark Stadium, Motherwell, 12/5/2019.

Gary has been one of my close mates for the last 15/20 odd years. Recently he has became more involved in the fitness world and has now started a page related to this @gaz_fitness18. He is just starting out his professional journey, but he does not play around when it comes to results. Drop him a follow to be part of his journey. He has helped me on multiple jobs and trips relating to photography and his passion for what he does is something that translates to everything he puts his mind to. He wouldnt tell you that himself so I'll say it for him, wouldnt have been able to complete some of the projects I have without his hands on assistance and madness ๐Ÿ’ช

  • World weather : Lockdown is ending let's make it nice and sunny for everyone.

Scottish Weather: We gave you the summer during lockdown so you can have rain for the rest of the year.
All projects will need to be waterproof from here on I guess ๐Ÿ™„ #GlenCoe

Lockdown has been tough mentally. Professionally, it's also been pretty soul destroying. Super appreciate everything Rebs has done to keep me screwed on ๐Ÿฅฐ very exciting months ahead โค #LessIsMore

  • #RealPeople / 1 / #BlackLivesMatter "If you love Black culture, protect Black lives" / Glasgow Green, 7/6/2020 @blmuk

With a continuation to the "Black Out Tuesday" I figured that I would use the opportunity to do more than just post a black square and move on like the majority of IG treating this like a trend. Above this black square on my feed from now on I will bring to you stories of people, people who perhaps might need to be heard more and stories about humans I've met and photographed. There are many issues with the world today, and as a photographer/storyteller I believe in the importance of representing journeys that deserve to be heard. I really hope that these stories will help educate me going forward as well as give people insight into issues that those outside their social bubbles face. So whilst my feed will still represent beautiful places and commercial projects, it will also represent beautiful people and stories about life.

  • This was taken at the start of 2020, who would have thought this is where we would be now? It's a time for change and it now feels like that change is finally coming and way way overdue. As photographers we are also storytellers and this is something I will push to do more, important stories need to be seen and heard. #EducateYourself

  • The last week or so I've really struggled to wrap my head around the goings on of the world. I want to support and talk about it but at the same time I feel like it's not my place. Thinking it's not your place is the problem, I will NEVER be able to understand what it's like to be a minority in this western world.

I think I've just really struggled to try and get a point across to a community and culture that I am here to support them. I feel like at times I'm in a place where people will question why I care or why it makes a difference to me or anyone else who has tried to pledge their support. I am very fortunate, I have a family and friends that have made me who I am, and this has contributed to me wanting to fight for people who deserve fighting for.
Anyone that knows me closely will know how passionate I am about certain things in life and this is not a pledge at me saying I'm anti-racist, because that's fucking obvious. My mental health has been down the last few because of everything I'm seeing with regards to George Floyd and the aftermath. This uncomfort will make people stop sharing and thinking about it, the same way we do with the issue of Mental Health. We NEED to all be better and representing voices that need to be heard, we need to talk about the uncomfortable things.

The main thing I feel is anger and frustration, for a whole host of reasons. Phrases like "all lives matter" is when people completely miss the point. I can almost guarantee that people using that phrase in this context are white. I'm just sick of fake people, people trying to justify themselves and people who think that they have too much to loose on their social media by talking out about these issues. I've lost followers when I started posting about Black Lives, what does that tell you about some of the people that were following me?
All I'm trying to say is, this has made me very uncomfortable, down and frustrated. We have to move forward with that discomfort, because I do not want to bring kids into the world where people have to protest for their basic rights. I may be uncomfortable, but I will never ever have to experience what Black people have and will.โค
