  • Happy #juneteenth to all my Black followers. EVERYONE LISTEN UP: on June 19th 1865, Slaves were officially granted freedom in America! Before this date, black people were seen as NOT human, and therefore did not deserve their rights under the Declaration of Independence, stating that “all men are created equal”. If that’s not the most BAT SHIT crazy thing you’ve ever heard... but yes, thats how America was. We’ve come a long way in the past generations, but the work is -FAR- from over, and this week we’ve seen that colorism, privilege and lack of integration is VERY much alive, and sometimes *so* deep rooted, that some people don’t even care to acknowledge the problem. Let’s all continue to be advocates for black voices, continue to demand that brands do better, and let’s continue to pay attention to 👉🏽 IF THEY TRULY even WANT to do better. 👈🏽 The people (and brands) that i want to see on top, are the people that genuinely make a conscious effort to be the change. ❤️ xx

  • Life update: as y’all probably know, I’ve basically devoted the last 8 months of my life to learning how to produce music. Shits been REAL hard, but it’s something I always knew I wanted... needed*, to do. In 2012, when i started my YouTube channel, i found UNLIMITED joy by creating my elaborate music intros 😂 you remember those... I’d mix my favorite, craziest dubstep songs together and edit cinematic shots to them. It was my way of being a little “music producer”, even when i could barely use garage band 😂 As far as i can remember, I’d write hundreds of songs and stash them under my bed growing up. No idea where those notebooks are now. I’d always listen to songs and get disappointed when they dropped and immediately think “that should have sounded like this!” Then I’d hum a better melody in my head 😂😂. Years went by on YouTube, and i was fortunate to find joy in making videos with you guys, but deep down I’d watch yet ANOTHER year go by where i had NO. IDEA. How to actually produce a song. So this year, i promised myself it was -the year-. Let me tell you, the learning curve on producing is NOT easy. It requires discipline, a lot of determination, and literally *thousands* of hours of work. I’m trying to make up for half a decade of not learning, in a span of a few months 😂 so... yeah.. But anyways, I’m really really excited to show you the world that I’ve been dying to create for, well damn, my whole life i guess. And i just want to hopefully inspire you to GET OFF YOUR ASS and DO THE THING you always wanted to do. Looking back, I’ve come so far in a short time, and i know you can too. I’m no where NEAR as skilled as i want to be, but I’m so damn proud of where i am today. Here’s some random ass videos throughout the journey. Xoxo ❤️

  • Happy World Oceans Day! 🌸🐠 the ocean provides us with 70 PERCENT of the earths oxygen! Without a thriving marine environment, we couldn’t (and won’t...) exist. Due to climate change, ocean phytoplankton (the tough guys that make our oxygen) have declined by 40% in the last 60 years 😭 Treat the ocean, earth and it’s animals with kindness- It’s the only way we can survive as humans! As always, I have a story highlight up where you can learn more on how to be an ocean superhero. I’ll be sharing some on my story tonight ❤️💫

  • So yesterday i attended my very first protest. It wasn’t as scary as i thought it would be. In fact, it wasn’t scary at all. I felt safe and liberated with my community. We made multiple laps peacefully, around the blocks of Hollywood. Around 2 pm, we stopped for a food break, and began to eat lunch on a curb. That’s when a large military vehicle SKRTED around the corner, carrying like 20 swat team officers all hanging off the car. Like a choreographed dance, ALL THE OFFICERS AT ONCE flipped their face covers on, hopped off the car and assembled into a line, with guns drawn. We ran. I left my food on the curb. I ran so fast my water bottle fell out of my bag, and I found it 30 minutes later with skid marks on it. They drew guns on 20 year old girls eating lunch on a curb, drew guns on young people walking with painted signs. Drew guns on literal LA lululemon protesters, outside of a TRADER JOES and a Bed Bath and Beyond. I was right there, feet away. NO ONE was posing a threat. Nothing makes sense in this at all. I personally believe some of the people hired to protect us, have been given orders to provoke chaos. We need to think clearly, and not allow this disturbing and *very obvious* attack on the people, distract us from the goal: reform at the political level. We must KEEP sharing our voices. We need to have CLEAR goals for the change we demand to happen. We need to come with all of our ducks in a row once the polls open. Protesting has shown me the true magnitude of how backwards the system is, and even though we are seeing it at street level- remember, the armed forces on our streets take orders from someone ABOVE them. They want us to tear each other apart at street level. They are provoking citizens to retaliate AT THE street level. You have seen the bricks, the police breaking their own vehicles, and being identified among looters. Don’t let them distract you. Let’s go to the polls, and continue to attend and DOCUMENT peaceful protests. That is where we hit them. ❤️
