For his 18th birthday, Ethan Lindenberger had one thing on his mind: getting vaccinated for the very first time. Growing up, Ethan’s mom did not believe in immunizing her children, but Ethan started doing his own research and soon realized that vaccines are not just about personal health — they are an issue of public health, too. “By choosing not to get vaccinated or get caught up on my immunizations, I could potentially get someone else sick, especially a young person or someone who is sick or is older," he said. "If I decide to ignore the issue, I can very well spread a disease to someone who could lose their life." So when Ethan turned 18, he went against his mom’s beliefs and caught up on the vaccines he missed out on as a kid. Now he’s a Global Advocate for Vaccines, encouraging everyone to research accurate information and protect themselves and others from infectious diseases. Read his full story at the link in the bio.

South Africa has the highest number of COVID-19 cases in Africa, but it’s leading the way to find a vaccine that can help put this pandemic to rest. More than 100 vaccines are currently being developed around the world, and South Africa is one of five countries that has already begun human trials. People all over the world are being affected by this virus — so once we find a promising COVID-19 vaccine, we need to make sure that it reaches everyone everywhere.
⭕ Want to help put pressure on world leaders to ensure that a COVID-19 vaccine reaches everyone globally? Just tap the link in our bio to sign our petition.

This is Marsha P. Johnson, a Black trans activist and key leader of the 1960s gay rights movement who is believed to have thrown the brick that set off the 1969 Stonewall riots in New York City. She was a fearless champion of LGBTQ rights who often put her life on the line to stand up for what she believed in. As she famously said, "as long as my people don't have their rights across America, there's no reason for celebration." Although Pride month is coming to an end, we must continue the legacy of Marsha P. Johnson by amplifying the voices of Black trans women and of all marginalized people so that we can build a more inclusive and equal world for everyone.
⭕ We’re highlighting 15 LGBTQ activists from the past and present who made strides toward a more equal world. Can you name a few? Check the link in our bio for more.
