  • #BehindTheShot with #CanonExplorerOfLight @salcincotta “Shot this at our first wedding back. Creativity was off the charts from being locked in the house for so long. 😊

This is a single frame capture and we used my phone to create the reflection and give the shot that little something extra. Quick and easy just used the available light here to give the shadows just enough detail to keep the shot interesting.”

  • Photo by #CanonExplorerOfLight and author @ricksammonphotography “When it comes to wildlife photography, understanding animal behavior is the key to getting a great shot! And when it comes to birds, understanding that they are often skittish and don’t like people/photographers around, it helps to be camouflaged. For my bird photography, I often use what’s called a photo bind/hide so I can get close to animals without them seeing a human form."

  • #BehindTheShot with #CanonExplorerOfLight @erinbabnik "I spend about a month out of each year teaching workshops in Death Valley, but I still enjoy making additional trips to the area for personal shooting and exploration. On this trip I camped for a week in the park just to enjoy it for myself and to experiment with some ideas that I had for future workshops. Among the many subjects that I never tire of photographing in Death Valley are sand dunes because they are so abstract and are always changing with the light and with weather conditions. Combined with the peaceful solitude of a dune field, these qualities are highly conducive to creativity, making me feel as though I could find new compositions there no matter how many times I visited."
