Morning walk for the Eaton crew. I miss these beautiful Oregon mornings 💚
Today, in celebration of the decathlon world record Ashton broke 8 years ago, @oregontf and @uoregon invited us to take a victory lap around the new Hayward Field together as a family. Hayward Field has always been a special place to Ashton and I, so it was amazing to see that even though there is a huge new stadium around it, the feeling of the original Hayward Field as we know it still very much remains. It is truly magical. I’m excited for all the athletes who get to compete in it, and for the fans who will be watching the magic from the stands. #eaton9039 #olympicday
I now understand why there is a dedicated day to celebrate moms. In these past 3.5 months, I have learned so much. I have learned that I do have the ability to be more patient. That it’s possible to be absolutely bawling your eyes out one minute because you’re frustrated, overwhelmed and defeated, and the next minute because you love your child so much you can’t imagine your life without them. I have learned that you develop a mom strength which allows you to function on only a few hours of sleep for numerous nights on end, and that caffeine is just as effective when your coffee is cold. But the number one thing I have learned is that moms are literally modern day superheroes. Ander, thank you for making me a mama and showing me the most intense kind of love there is. To my own mom, thank you for all you’ve done for me and for giving me the kind of upbringing I have had. I love you. And to all you other moms out there, you are doing an amazing job. Enjoy this day. You deserve it! Happy Mother’s Day, Mamas! 💕
Like father, like son 🤓 Happy Saturday!!
My whole world 🖤 We made it through week 1... And somehow I’m still awake.
Our lives are forever changed ❤️ Ander Nicholas Eaton came into the world on January 21st, Ashton’s birthday. We can already understand how challenging parenthood is going to be, but how incredibly rewarding as well. We’re so in love with our little “spacenaut”.
Merry Christmas -❤️ the Eatons
Christmas holiday with my girl and spacenaut in full swing ☕️❄️☃️
This is probably the most important thing I learned during my athletic career. Taking it into the rest of my life. Absolutely love this 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
An amazing Denver weekend with my college girlfriends 💙
And just like that, it’s over. The Doha World Championships were absolutely incredible, and I’m a little depressed it’s over. The performances were unbelievable and it was so great to be back with the track and field community. Thank you to @iaaf_athletics for choosing Ashton and I as ambassadors. It was such a pleasure. See everyone in Tokyo!!
En route to Doha for the World Championships!! But first, dinner in Helsinki 🇫🇮
Workouts are a day-to-day thing for me now. Some days lifting weights feels good, and some days just call for a walk with Zo. Today, running felt good, so I took advantage of it and did an old hill workout we used to do when we were training... at a MUCH slower pace. #20weeks #babybump #babyeaton #spacenaut #missourihill
Every workout now includes 2 workout buddies. Zora has been attached at my hip and clearly has no concept of personal space.
It’s happening… A little Eaton will be joining the party in February 2020!! These past 4 months have truly been such a special time for Ashton and I, keeping this amazing secret to ourselves, but we’re finally ready and excited to share the news. We can’t wait to meet our little “spacenaut”, as Ashton has named it, and to start this new adventure together as a family of 4 (can’t forget Zora) 💚
Our 8 days in Iceland consisted of: 2,700km driven, 10 waterfalls, 4 hot springs, 4 beaches, 3 cave explorations, 2 canyons, 2 trail runs, 1 glacier climb, 1 volcano, some rotten shark, and 1 shower each. This was a trip we’ve been wanting to do for a while. We rented a campervan (@campeasyiceland), ate primarily soup, sandwiches, chips, and Haribo candy, and pulled over to explore anything that caught our eye. Through this experience we learned that Iceland has some INSANELY good seafood. Stuff is seriously expensive (& that’s saying a lot coming from SFO). It doesn’t really get all the way dark in the summer. It’s one of the coolest places if you like the outdoors and adventure (and getting a bit grimey), but that you need at least a month to explore all of the magic in this beautiful country. If you’re at all thinking about Iceland, do it! Our trip was organized by @briannaglenn at Milk & Honey Travels. She does all of our vacations and is the absolute best! #iceland #campeasyiceland #travel
