Help the WeAre Foundation register voters and provide clean water to the children of Flint by supporting our efforts at the Flint Water Festival. Just like protesting, Voting only works when we ALL SHOW UP.
TEXT “WeAre” to 44321 to DONATE or visit us at WeAre.org
This is why we most OVERWHELM THE POLLS. Protesting only works when we all show up. The same goes for voting. It only works IF WE ALL SHOW UP. EVERY WHERE. They can shut you out but they cannot shut ALL OF US OUT. V O T E
REGISTER and PLEDGE to use the power of your vote at WeAre.org
Listen to me.
In so many painful ways, 2020 is just not that different from 1960.
The State of Kentucky closed thousands of polling locations and made its largest city, Louisville, which has more Black voters than the rest of the state combined, all vote in ONE LOCATION.
Then closed it before people could get in to vote. That’s them, banging on the windows.
The traffic to get there was HOURS long.
It’s a scandal. It’s not like voter suppression.
It IS voter suppression. Right before our eyes.
"As members of the black theatre community we stand together to help protect black people, black talent, and black lives of all shapes and orientations in theatre and communities across the country.
Our voices are united to empower our community through activism in the pursuit of justice and equality for the betterment of all humanity.
We need every voice lifted and every heart opened, aligned with ours to fight against racist ideologies that have divided us by devaluing our lives.
We will not be silent. We will be seen. We will be heard. We are here. Join Us.
