Go Beyond 🏔🤩
Incoming from 2700 metres above sea level. Today our patron @jonnymac83 did his final ride as part of the FBB 2020 Challenge to help us reach 20,000 miles. He had this special message for the FBB Fam. 🙏
The funds raised will enable us to open our FBB Virtual Summer School from the end of this month. It will see young people take part in a range of workshops including social action, music production, gaming and much much more!
As one of our first ever FBB participants said: FBB wherever you may be! 🔥 #fbbfam #gobeyond
We’ve done it! 🎯
We should have been watching the Euro 2020 final today but instead we have just witnessed FBB history. 💥
With the help of over 770 supporters, 4 football teams and 3 incredible ultra marathon runners who have just done a 100 mile challenge we have managed to smash our target of £20K and 20,000km. In fact we travelled 20,000 miles! We’ve visited 12 London football stadiums! Cycled from London to Brighton! And raised £22,000 to fund the FBB Virtual Summer School.
Thank you FBB Fam! 🙌❤️ #fbbfam #gobeyond
Letter To A Future World - Salma ✨
Our second illustration in this series from the FBB Virtual Schoolgirl , Salma’s poetic letter is so moving, so make sure you swipe through to listen to it in full. 🔈
Salma shares her hopes & fears for the future and directly addresses many difficulties the world is facing such as war, islamophobia and child abuse. Well done for your bravery Salma, we salute you! ✨
The letter was illustrated beautifully by @BenArmson, who listened to Salma read it in a virtual workshop we organised and said: “It’s such a powerful piece, hearing you read it was amazing. It’s so cool, keep doing it!” 🙌

After a few weeks off, we are back with another episode of FBB Isolation Diaries.
“My hopes are that we can get back to a normal daily life, but my fears are that this is only the start of something that is going to get worse”. 🗣
As the world begins to go back to normal, our participants continue to voice how they are feeling and explain their hopes and fears for the future. ✨
Comment below how you are feeling coming out of lockdown. ✍️
Do the right thing 💚
We love seeing players using their platform to better humanity. The future of our planet is up for grabs. We need to put more into it than we take out. Big ups @HectorBellerin for using his platform to highlight environmental issues and plant 3,000 trees for every @Arsenal win until the end of the season! 🌳
As he says himself “with the platform we have, we should be the people that scream at these social issues and put them out there, so as a society we can move forward. There are so many things for me… the climate is a big one." 🙏
Letter To A Future World ✨✉️
As part of Virtual School, we tasked our young people with imagining what a future world could look like. 🌍🤔
This is the first of four wonderful illustrations that have been created to go alongside the winning entries for this “Letter To A Future World” project.
The lockdown has been a difficult time for society, but we are pleased that it has also been a time where our young people have been able to imagine new possibilities and realities through our Virtual School. 🙌✨
Blessing’s letter was illustrated brilliantly by Damien Weighill, after we facilitated a workshop between the two of them. 🎨✨
Swipe to hear two clips of Blessing reading his letter and some of the feedback he received from Damien, as well as some closeups of the illustration. Blessing speaks of vastly different worlds that we could imagine in the future if society neglects the environment, or if as a society we take care of it. The future is in our hands 🗣🙏 #Illustration #Art #gobeyond 🎨: @damienweighill
The School to Prison Pipeline. 🗣
As we prepare to head back into some level of normality, it is important to recognise what we can learn from being in isolation. 🤔
For young people excluded from school, social and educational isolation is a reality, and their life chances become significantly diminished. 📉
More work must be done to ensure young people, particularly from BAME backgrounds excluded from school don’t end up going down the pathway to prison. 🙏
We have a duty to ensure that every young person in this country recognise their potential to shine within their communities and beyond. 🙌💪

Leading by example! 🙌
The fight against racism will only change when people choose to educate themselves and have the courage to speak out. Well done to Burnley captain @BenMee6 for staying true to form and coming out to condemn the banner that was flown above the Burnley vs Man City game last night. 👊
Last year Ben came down to speak to our participants and stressed the importance of being courageous in the quest for justice. Like Ben, we must continue to "have the courage to speak up". Solving injustice is not going to happen just through good intentions but rather through continued practice day in, day out. 🕊🙏

The Windrush Generation 🙌
22nd June 1948. 72 years ago today, thousands of migrants arrived from the Caribbean to Britain. This pioneering and brave generation have given so much, and so many of our young people quite literally stand on their shoulders. 👑💯
Let’s not forget the positive contribution they have made and continue to make to Britain. 🤗 #windrushgeneration #givethanks
Get active this weekend! 😎
Over 300 people have donated to the #FBB2020 Challenge in week one! None more so than the mighty @dulwichhamletfc_w who have rapidly smashed their £2k target and are now aiming to raise £5k as a team! That's fantastic teamwork! 🏃🏽♀️🚴🏼♀️🚶🏾♀️
If you haven't already got involved, do it! Run, walk or cycle and donate the distance. Link in bio. 🙏 .

A change is gonna come. 🖤🌹🕊
This is Jaida one of our young people singing a powerful rendition of Sam Cooke earlier today. The song was written in 1965 but is as relevant now as it was then. “It’s been a long, a long time coming. But I know a change is gonna come, oh yet it will.” 🎼✊🏾✨ #changeisgonnacome #samcooke
