  • No one can give you power. No one can give you confidence. No one can give you courage.

Not your lover.

Not your friend.

Not your community.

Any sense of of power you receive from others is an illusion.

It may feel good for a few breaths, heck maybe even a few years, yet at the end of the day the lack you feel inside will surface again.

Only YOU can give yourself power.

AND here’s the kicker‼️ - you don’t even need to give yourself power.

💥YOUR POWER ALREADY EXISTS💥.

Your power is simply waiting for you.

✨Waiting for you to remove the shame around your body.

✨Waiting for you to dissolve the judgements around other women.

✨Waiting for you to melt the fears around speaking your Truth.

The external freedoms & changes you desire for all humans, for our environment, for our government…

Begin with you freeing yourself.

When you activate your inner power you cultivate the confidence & courage to create external change.

Your power is already here.

Your power is waiting for you.

Come claim your power with me during the LEO New Moon Ceremony on Tuesday.

We’ll be journeying through breathwork, embodiment movement, reiki energy healing, sisterhood & meditation to AWAKEN your Soul’s power.

Sign up today. LINK IN BIO.

💞Serena

PS - 3 spots remaining. Your time is now. You’re long overdue. Stop hesitating already. CHOOSE YOU.

  • As I began to think about empty nesting over these last few months I felt overwhelmed. Overwhelmed that I would have many changes in my relationships with my children and morning somewhat the last time I would live permanently with my youngest child my baby boy. I wanted to mark the transition in a meaningful way to give it, if you like the right of passage it deserves.
I wanted to honor those who had helped me raise my children.
I wanted to thank my children and wish them blessings and mark and establish adult relationships with them.
I need to acknowledge new challenges and growth for myself.
To do this I firstly went thru all my family photos and collected and placed them into two albums , spending time looking over, remembering, embracing all the emotions and letting them go. What surprised me about it was that going over old photos in order to make the books made me proud of my own mothering and all of the experiences we had had as a family. It was a very rich experience for me.
Then I had a sacred womens circle ceremony with some old friends, empty nesters and almost empty nesters. We talked about parenting and children, and some offered art and poetry. We made offerings to the sacred goddesses of motherhood. I shared the poem by
Michelle Meleen
If wishes were like seeds
on a dandelion in the yard,
Id blow mine out on a breeze
for Mother Nature to safeguard.
I'd wish for my sons
to be happy and free
like the bright burning sun
or a bird in a tree.
I'd wish for my sons
to feel safe and loved
like man when life had begun
and the angels up above.
It was a beautiful moment of letting go and rebirthing for me and for all of us.
Through this ritual I felt happy and supported as I approached this new phase, and I can report that it is not overwhelming, but full of joy and a whole opportunity to live my life anew.
I say to you all, mark each phase of your life. Accept, morn and rebirth in it. It is life and we all are to live it in the fullness of experience.
Blessed Be...TULIP🌷

  • If you would ask me how I experience my life, I would tell you that “It often feels as if I am being presented with all possible events in life at a rapid pace, so that I could give something back to the world from a place of deep understanding” and I can not be more grateful for all the loss, all the love, all the suffering, all the pain, all the joy, all the laughter, all the building up and breaking down, all the deaths followed by rebirths... because it made me the woman I am today. A mother of creation. A child of the earth. A creature of nature. I am woman. And I am so proud to be one. I am grateful for all the stones the made me stumble and fall because they made me remember what it truly means to be a woman. 💚

I’ll be hosting theme circles in the near future. Circles were we dive into a specific subject by sharing and listening to eachothers stories. Besides our own stories I’ll share a different story in each circle to translate the deeper meanings of the things we’ve experienced metaphorically through storytelling.

  • The Goddess

The Goddess archetype is a woman who is deeply connected to herself as a woman and the Feminine Source of Creative power. She trusts deeply in the co-creative connection she shares with the Divine and the Natural World.
She reflects our creative expression and manifesting abilities. Her thoughts and action are in alignment; she possesses the ability to not only conceptualise, but actualise.
She is the artist in us. She knows her soul-purpose, focusses on her goals, undistracted by competition or the need of others. She sees the Goddess in all other women too.
She isn’t intimidated by darkness or lack. She knows that from the void, creation inevitably emerges. She has seen her shadows, felt them and worked through them. And when more shadows show up, she will face them again, knowing she has enough love in her heart to carry herself through them. Her pain has made her who she is today.
She embodies the Divine Feminine through and through. She is CONSCIOUS RADIATING LOVE.

Her gift lies in creation
Strengths: self-reliance, courage, self-expression, confidence
Challenges: cruel, emotionally unavailable
Chakra: Throat
Goddesses: Kali, Gaia, Freya, Saraswati, Isis .

choosing the light from the dark is a big movement in your life , in your energy field , attracting everything that will make you grow , being tested , living out who you truly are and what you have come to realize in this lifetime ..
Some think they are Indifferent or “ not of a God “ , for the time comes when you will choose to abandon all connections to your God - self or rise above and within and beyond , and that has consequences
a choice and thus a movement for your present , your future and all existence throughout lifetimes ...so choose wisely🌹

  • JOURNEY TO INDIA 🇮🇳 <INDEPENDENCE DAY!>
Some songs have the ability to transport us back into a particular period of our lives.

This song, “Journey to India”, marks a period of transformation into tantric living. Me and my sisters from Turkey, Germany, USA and UK would gather together everyday in a small bungalow in the Jungle to learn to connect to our most embodied, empowered, sacred selves from an old wise woman 🔥 .

Tantra sacred dance was the path which we followed, step by step, to reach there 🧜‍♀️ .

Through movement and listening to the subtle energies, we would search within to reach the guidance and wisdom stored deep in our bodies 🕰 .

What did we find? All the answers we had been looking for, the pain, the pleasure, the harmony and the capacity for bliss locked deep in every cell. ❤️

Some dances left me feeling raw, others made made me cry, in some I felt an expansion into parts of myself I had never experienced before 💧 .

As a Gujarati woman, there is a ‘coming home’ element to this ancient part of my heritage and to this ancient part of myself.

In old India, temples would see this form of devotion as a transmission from the divine which had important messages for the witnesses and community. The woman’s body respected as a sacred vessel for divine communication 🙏🏽.

And so with a taste of my own medicine, my journey BACK to Ancient India continues...

Today also marks the day India ventured back to herself, after 200 years of colonial rule. 🇮🇳 HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY INDIA! Can anyone who teaches yoga or tantra please appreciate this!!!!!

The #No 1 mistake Healers make. - Lissa Randkin M.D.
.
We show up wounded, expecting that our ministering to others will heal our woundedness and indeed it can. Helping someone else heal can foster the process of self-healing, ☝️but only if you’ve done your OWN work.
.
If you have no insight into your own wounds and you set out to help heal others, you put others at risk of winding up even more wounded. A misguided healer can be downright dangerous.
.
To avoid damaging our patients/clients when we hope to facilitate their healing, those of us seeking to help others (and I’m talking all types here; not just physicians and nurses, but therapists, life coaches, complementary & alternative medicine practitioners, workshop leaders, and more) must navigate several key steps .
.
1. Identify the wound.
Ask yourself what wound you seek to heal by ministering to others.
.
2. Liberate your patients/clients. It’s not fair to depend on your patients/clients to give you a sense of self-worth, identity, inherent value, or sense of accomplishment. If you need therapy, spiritual counseling, or some other kind of guidance to help you address your personal issues, get help.
.
3. Be mindful of how your woundedness can bleed into your patients/clients. If they feel they must please you in order to help you heal your own wounds, they will be focused on YOU, rather than focusing on their own self-healing.
.
4. Be aware of your power.
When patients/clients seek help, they are vulnerable and easy to influence. This can be a drug for those whose wounds revolve around feelings of powerlessness or lack of control. DO NOT take advantage of your power.

5. Own your shit and take responsibility for your own healing. Make a plan to deal with your issues. Check in with your Inner Pilot Light and ask yourself what you need in order to heal the primary wound that may have led you to enter a healing profession.
.
6. Beware of projection.
Your patients/clients are not your alcoholic mother, your abusive ex-husband, or your vicious boss.

  • It was a mere week ago we were together in circle, connecting over the changes we are going through in our life.

Recognising the gift that change has brought Into our life.
Finding our own wisdom and strength to face the uncertainty that comes.
What a gift it was to have a small intimate group of women so we could really open our hearts and share so deeply with one another.

We come as strangers and leave as sisters.

  • “Your mind reacts to the words and images that you feed it. You have absolute control of how any situation turns out for you.”⠀
⠀
Our limiting beliefs can really hold us back, our beliefs start forming as children and reframing them and changing our stories is so crucial.⠀
⠀
Sarah Griffiths is a Rapid Transformational Therapist. In October 2010 she nearly committed suicide as childhood bullying had left her full of self-loathing and lacking in confidence. She was also in a narcissistic marriage but did not know it at the time. Since then she has been on an incredible journey of healing and self-discovery and now works as a trauma and abuse therapist helping others overcome the negative effects of their past just as she has.⠀
⠀
In this episode, we explore overcoming limiting beliefs and how to do this. We explore how your childhood can have a massive effect on your way of being and how transformation can be quick when you work on your subconscious mind. ⠀

If you're a woman who menstruates...did you know your biological clock is influenced by a 28 day cycle science knows as the Infradian Rhythm? It's like we're 4 (at least) different women each month & each of these women have different needs when it comes to rest, exercise, food, socialising and hormones. ⠀
⠀
I track my cycle and mark in my calendar the first day of my bleed as "MOON DAY - REST"....a commitment to myself to try not to book work, exercise or big social activities on this day because I know what my body needs at this time is REST.⠀
⠀
It doesn't always work perfectly (because NEWSFLASH we're not meant to be perfect!!) but I do the best I can to carve out this space for my own self care. I know I'm blessed to have the flexibility in my work to do this but that blessing came from me first making a decision to truly honour the deeper wisdoms that reside within my body, mind and heart. A decision I believe more women would be inspired to make if they understood the wisdom that rests in their beautiful bodies.⠀
⠀
We've grown up with many distortions about our menstrual cycle and I know so many women are still unfamiliar, embarrassed by or struggle with their bodies, blood and femininity. Why are we taught to struggle against this very natural & beautiful part of being a woman? Why are we still treating our bodies in a linear way expecting our hormones to be the same day in day out - like men's (who are governed by a 24 hour biological clock called the Circadian Rhythm) when this isn't how our systems thrive? There is so much to unravel in our beautiful bodies and so much wisdom to be reclaimed when we listen.⠀
⠀
It's a topic I think we don't talk about nearly enough which breeds shame and disconnect and leaves a huge piece of our magic untapped. So starting again soon I'll be hosting women's circles so we can dive a little deeper into the magic of being sensitive, sensual, embodied women. Follow the link in my bio to be updated when tickets release!⠀

  • Let’s catch up, and answer the question, what are you doing in Seattle?

In mid January I received what can only be described as an intuitive hit that I COULD NOT ignore. Move. To. Washington. Now. The “now” part was especially clear.

Even though, at this time I have my oldest and youngest daughters living in Washington and a brother and his family there, not to mention that I’d have just a four hour drive to my daughter in Oregon and there’s a strong network of breast cancer survivors in the area, absolutely no part of me wanted to actually move to Washington.

Visit often. Sure! Move there and live there? No. I love the sunshine of California too much, I have a home and family there, it’s where I grew up, it’s where my community of women is and the businesses I collaborate with. I had no desire to leave.

But the message was loud and clear. Now.

By March 1, I was in my car driving north. Literally, I packed some bags and got in my car, I was headed to Kirkland, Washington. I had a room to rent, that was as far as my plan went, and we all know what happened next. News was just coming out about Kirkland being the epicenter of Covid-19 in the US, and I was headed straight for it.

My first thought was, well played Universe, the joke is on me. That’s a good one. Later when lock down orders were issued, businesses closed and travel restrictions were imposed, I began feeling very disconnected from myself and what I was doing. I shared this with a dear sister, living in California via Zoom and her brilliant, inspired response was so simple and clear. Can you imagine if you had stayed in California and you weren’t able to be near your daughters during all this?

No. I could not.

Despite that, nothing felt easy about being here. The world was on fire and I felt like I was being torn in two. I cried a lot, and when the 8:00 howling became a thing, I howled a lot too. I’ve been in the fire of uncertainty before and so I did the only things I knew I could do, to find comfort, walk, meditate, love, baths, nourishment.

Trust is all I had to go on. I knew I was meant to be here, I didn’t always know how or why, but ... more in comments.

  • My grandmother once gave me a tip:
In difficult times, you move forward in small steps.
Do what you have to do, but little by little.
Don't think about the future, or what may happen tomorrow.
Wash the dishes.
Remove the dust.
Write a letter.
Make a soup.
You see?
You are advancing step by step.
Take a step and stop.
Rest a little.
Praise yourself.
Take another step.
Then another.
You won't notice, but your steps will grow more and more.
And the time will come when you can think about the future without crying. - Elena Mikhalkova (Image of Tasha Tudor, American Illustrator 1915-2008) (Post originally posted by @midwivesofthesoul)

  • Suddenly my whole life started to make sense.

I’ve never been a fan of labels but when I discovered I was an Empath and a Highly Sensitive Person my whole life started to make sense. Nine years ago the current life I was living was not serving me and as if by magic it crumbled in front of my eyes. I realised everything I thought I wanted, I didn't and that I had made some really bad choices that I was only starting to see the results of now.

This traumatic time of my life led me to a period of introspection and searching for answers. I poured myself into every self help book I could get my hands on. I spoke to a handful of people who got it, who had experienced great pain like mine and that soothed me. Then I came across the term Empath and HSP through a website run by @lonerwolfpath. This then became my online refuge for information that helped me to understand who I was and why I was feeling certain things.

As a child I was hypersensitive to people and their emotions, to the point of taking on the personalities of friends or family members, unable to say in my own truth. I would often get told by my parents that I was acting like so and so or was spending too much time with them, even turning into them! This carried on into my early twenties...... (Read the full blog post on my website, link in bio)

If any of this resonates with you then maybe your an Empath & or HSP too?

  • Oh hey! I thought it was time I reintroduce myself because it’s been a minute and there are some new faces here.⠀
⠀
I’m Mala. I’m a Mama to two gorgeous kiddos, a boy and a baby girl who has the squishiest cheeks ever!⠀
⠀
I’m also a life coach and Eft practitioner and I am crazy about helping women shift from self-doubt to self-love so they feel confident. ⠀
⠀
I’ve been on a long journey to self-acceptance and eventually self-love (yes I believe they are different stages).⠀
⠀
It all started when I was adopted as a baby by a white Australian family. I never felt like I belonged and I wished I was white instead of loving my Brown skin.⠀
⠀
I partied and numbed all the pain I felt and eventually developed vitiligo on my skin. Whilst it felt like a curse it was actually the biggest blessing because it threw me into a journey from self-hate to self-acceptance and sobriety!⠀
⠀
So that’s me in a not so little nutshell.⠀
⠀
Now it’s your turn. In the comments let me know where you’re from and your favourite self-love practice. 💜 ⠀

  • Oh hey! I thought it was time I reintroduce myself because it’s been a minute and there are some new faces here.⠀

I’m Mala. I’m a Mama to two gorgeous kiddos, a boy and a baby girl who has the squishiest cheeks ever!⠀

I’m also a life coach and Eft practitioner and I am crazy about helping women shift from self-doubt to self-love so they feel confident. ⠀

I’ve been on a long journey to self-acceptance and eventually self-love (yes I believe they are different stages).⠀

It all started when I was adopted as a baby by a white Australian family. I never felt like I belonged and I wished I was white instead of loving my Brown skin.⠀

I partied and numbed all the pain I felt and eventually developed vitiligo on my skin. Whilst it felt like a curse it was actually the biggest blessing because it threw me into a journey from self-hate to self-acceptance and sobriety!⠀

So that’s me in a not so little nutshell.⠀

Now it’s your turn. In the comments let me know where you’re from and your favourite self-love practice. 💜 ⠀

  • Loosing touch with ourselves is hard.

Finding ourselves again is even harder.

Goddess, do you notice how often you forget how powerful you are?

Do you notice how many times in one day you tear yourself down just a little bit?

Do you notice all the places in your life where you’ve chosen everything but yourself?

Why do we do this?

For me, digging into this why has been really challenging & I’ve had to face a lot of pain and heartbreak from myself to begin to take responsibility for my heart.

Do you ever feel like you’ve tried ALL the things to heal this part of yourself ON YOUR OWN?

To find true acceptance of all parts of you, through only your own lens?

Has any of it worked? Like truly worked girl. ??? Do you actually feel like you love yourself more when you feel alone in the healing process?

I know I didn’t.

It wasn’t until I created sisterhood in my life that I truly started to transform a lot of the self hatred I was holding onto.

Yes, hatred. It’s time we stop being so passive about this.

So many women treat themselves with such ugliness that if they treated another woman this way we would ask “why do you hate her?” So let’s cut the bullshit.

Let’s work together in sisterhood to dismantle all of these wounds and societal expectations that have been ingrained in our beings for generations.

Let’s reflect our pain, our process, our joy, and our creations with each other in sacred community.

Let’s GATHER as women to break down the old paradigm and create the new one for all women who will come after us.

Let’s do this together sisters.
Stop trying to do it all alone.
🌙
Doors for The Moon Membership are closing soon.
Come transform your relationship to yourself with us.
We got you.
We have room for ALL of you.

  • There was a stubbornness I held, a hierarchy of what true connection should look like. Being in the flesh together trumped everything. Even a few weeks ago, I maintained this. Since then, everything has changed. The stubbornness has shifted. The medium is no longer important, just the connection that carries us through isolation. All of our Sister Stories circles have moved online. It’s been magic. This week, a group of amazing women from all over the world will gather online to learn to hold their own Sister Stories circles both online and in real life. My faith in the work is strengthened. So many women are taking action. Putting connection first and committing to create spaces where it can flourish. There are just a handful of spaces left to join this movement. Today is the last day to join us. We start our 6 week training followed by a lifetime of support and community on Thursday. If stepping forward to creating more connection is for you, join us. Link to more info is in my bio and my inbox is open 🙏🏻🌒💫 photo credit: @wildatlanticway
