  • Yes! Idk about y’all but I choose happiness. I choose to live and experience a happy and blissful life from now on. This doesn’t mean I don’t go through shit ... hello! That’s life. We are here to grow spiritually so duh! I’m going through my shift too bruh but I’m choosing to find the light, the silver lining, the rainbow, the good amongst the chaos. That begins with choosing yourself! :) I could not reached the point I’m at if it wasn’t for deep self love and saving myself, literally choosing myself. Over and over and over. It gets wayyyy easier every time. The inner-strength that develops overtime by choosing yourself and choosing happiness is addicting. It fills me up with gratitude bcus ultimately I’m choosing LOVE. To love myself. Honor myself. I’m choosing my heart. Im choosing my spirit. I’m choosing my soul. 

You don’t have time to hate on others when you’re happy and that keeps your heart light. It’s a beautiful cycle of life force energy. ⚡️✨🌏🌝🌞🌈😊 Ppl most Def feel it n see it n it does hold space for others to choose themselves and that’s a beautiful thing. It’s healing. Individually #1; collectively #2. 
It’s not always easy to see the silver lining. Sometimes our perception or perspective is not able and that OK, as long as you remain OPEN to learning and ask for help. Do something about it. Choose happiness. Take action! ⚡️💫🪐 it’s worth it ; you’re worth it; I am worth it!

Reset days are just that, days you take for yourself to get organised, centred and take back control!

Weekends are a great time to do this, Sundays are my go to and here’s what I have planned for tomorrow;

✨ a deep clean of my room : dusting, tidying, hoovering and clean bed sheets

✨ plan my week : I reflect on the week just gone, set myself some mini goals and then write my to do list and schedule it all into my diary

✨ journalling : I LOVE journalling, we all know that by now, but on reset days I like to spend a little longer, do some scripting and just do some soul searching

✨ a long cleansing shower : I don’t know about you, but I feel like a new woman after my cleansing shower. Hair wash, skincare routine, moisturise, shave, exfoliate THE LOT and I feel so good!

  • Casually dropping in with the reminder that you don’t have to earn your food. And again 🔊... YOU 👏🏽 DON’T 👏🏽 HAVE 👏🏽 TO 👏🏽 EARN 👏🏽 YOUR 👏🏽 FOOD. Your body needs food in order to function and survive. It shouldn’t be an award given to yourself.

We say little comments all the time, “I’ve earned this lunch” or “I was so good with my eating yesterday, I earned this dinner 🥘”. Let’s normalize knowing that it’s okay to eat regardless. It’s also okay to eat something you really enjoy because food SHOULD be enjoyed.

You can also look at it another way, we should find exercise and movement that we feel is enjoyable. Constantly thinking about the number of calories you’re burning, and thinking of the activity you’re doing as an “exchange”, takes out the enjoyable factor. It’s an incredible feeling to take a walk 🚶🏾‍♀️, do a Zumba class 💃🏽, go on a bike 🚲 ride, or whatever you’re into, and not thinking about the calories you’re burning off. It’s an incredible feeling to be in the moment and just find enjoyment. ✌🏽

  • Okay so full transparency, last week was trash. It was just one of those weeks were nothing was going working or going right. However, despite the roller coaster ride. I survived it. One of the main things that kept me going was spending more looking at my vision boards. ⁣

If you know me personally, I am the queen of vision boards, prayer journals, all of that. Last week, one of my mentors encouraged me to get really detailed with the vision I had for my career. Today on my site, I share how I created my career vision board and how it pulled me off my roller coaster ride. It’s been working for me. How many of you use vision boards to visualize things and stay focused? The Rona may have affected some of our plans but it won’t stop us.

  • Your “wise mind” is the balance between your emotional mind and your rational mind. It’s the state in which you are connected to your whole self and make your best decisions.

When you take action in your emotional mind, you are completely ruled by your emotions. Logic and reason are irrelevant because you are consumed by your feelings. We are often irrational and unreasonable in this state.
.
When we are in our rational mind, we are cold, caring only about facts and ignoring emotions, relationships, and attachment. We are logical, but totally emotionally closed off.
.
Wise mind is the balance between the two. When we are in wise mind, we recognize and honor our feelings, and the feelings of others. We use logic to make sound decisions while also attuning to the importance of our relationships. In wise mind we walk the middle path. We are grounded, kind, warm, thoughtful and reasonable.

I’ll give you more info on how to stay in wise mind tomorrow, but first, I just want you to spend time checking in with yourself and noticing where you are on the scale from hot to cold. Rate yourself on a scale from 1 to 10, with wise mind being between 4-6. Do this several times today. It can be helpful to pair it with something you do multiple times a day like washing your hands or eating something. Also check in with yourself after a stressful interaction and rate where you were before, during, and after the situation. Remember, awareness is always the first step!

  • Your “wise mind” is the balance between your emotional mind and your rational mind. It’s the state in which you are connected to your whole self and make your best decisions.

    When you take action in your emotional mind, you are completely ruled by your emotions. Logic and reason are irrelevant because you are consumed by your feelings. We are often irrational and unreasonable in this state.
    .
    When we are in our rational mind, we are cold, caring only about facts and ignoring emotions, relationships, and attachment. We are logical, but totally emotionally closed off.
    .
    Wise mind is the balance between the two. When we are in wise mind, we recognize and honor our feelings, and the feelings of others. We use logic to make sound decisions while also attuning to the importance of our relationships. In wise mind we walk the middle path. We are grounded, kind, warm, thoughtful and reasonable.
    .
    I’ll give you more info on how to stay in wise mind tomorrow, but first, I just want you to spend time checking in with yourself and noticing where you are on the scale from hot to cold. Rate yourself on a scale from 1 to 10, with wise mind being between 4-6. Do this several times today. It can be helpful to pair it with something you do multiple times a day like washing your hands or eating something. Also check in with yourself after a stressful interaction and rate where you were before, during, and after the situation. Remember, awareness is always the first step!

  • hannah here and i’m keeping today’s post short because i’m STRESSED :// i have so much to do before move-in on friday 😯 i’m about to go do some last minute shopping with my mom and then i need to pack all day!
 
anyways, by now you know I love smoothie bowls, and I’m making the most of them before heading back to UGA! 🍌
