  • I call this the Sleeping Dragon Squat 🐲😴 Legs, Hip & Core βœ”οΈ

Resting is not weakness. Resting properly  takes just as much courage and discipline as training πŸ’ͺ I feel like I've been holding my breath since I've been blessed with this injury and now I can finally exhale. 🌬️😊 .
.
.
I've had my fair share of injuries. This one was definitely the scariest. Had I not seen the car coming, or my body not know what to do unconsciously in the moment, I don't know if I would still be able to walk. That, I am grateful for πŸ™β™₯️ .
.
.
My mind is strong and stubborn. It initially refused to accept that I need to fully rest from my injury. I was scared I wouldn't be 100%. I needed to move to prove to myself that I can. This got me out of the hospital and on my feet FAST. I stayed positive and knew my body needed time. I was at about 85% two weeks ago, and I knew that the last 15% is going to be the hardest. πŸ™„
.
.
I could move, I could teach, but I knew I was giving to others from a place that wasn't entirely whole. That's not fair or healthy. I needed to be home to breathe and move amongst the trees πŸŒ¬οΈπŸƒπŸŒ² nature always knows how to heal me. .

I will be back soon πŸŒ„β˜€οΈ more whole than before. 😊 .

Wrote an essay again 🀣 but part of resting is a total internal reflection of mind and body. I'll trust the process.

From the Earth, we see the Sun setting as if it revolves around us. From the Sun, we see other galaxies cycling through our horizon. From our Milky Way, we see other Galaxy Clusters spinning around us as if we are the center of it all πŸŒŒβ˜€οΈ

Our experience is central yet we are not physically centered in the vast expanding universe at all. We are part of a billion Clusters, somewhere along the edge of an average Galaxy, surrounding a below average Star. 🌠✨

Our search for meaning demands in inward perspective as much as an outward eye to see how we fit in and where we belong on the the grand scheme of the cosmic universe(s), if we belong at all. Are we a product of the Universe's great game of dice? Either way, it is beautiful and humbling, because we are. Humans. Being. πŸ™β™₯️

  • Do you trust your own body? We can always do more to build trust in ourselves. Trust comes from habits. Positive conscious reinforcement of habits we want to develop until it becomes subconscious.

It's a weird question to ask but I think it's something we take for granted when we are healthy and strong. You don't really ask yourself this question until you start to doubt your own body a little during an injury. .

I've had the last week to think about this question as I have been recovering from my little collision with a car πŸ’₯πŸš— I trust my legs; they're the strongest part of my body and without their strength, things would have been much, much worse πŸ˜…
.
.
I couldn't really walk without crutches until yesterday and only today, without pain. As I am getting a little teary eyed writing this, it puts into perspective how awesome our bodies are. Damn, I'm so blessed. It feels amazing to trust my body to walk properly. πŸ™πŸ˜‡

  • Move your body because you can. Get comfortable with it, strengthen it, care for it simply because it is your one true home. 🏠πŸ₯°

Got hit by a car today and went flying then rolled a few dozen meters. Whew! That's a moving experience in it self. How our bodies adapt to sudden changes in the safest way possible, how even though we may not need to tell the body how to move yet the neurons in our brains that we've built up fire then allow movement patterns that save ourselves most efficiently - that's why we train and practice. To adapt, to enjoy, to overcome then come back to center as quickly as possible. Feeling blessed for my body. A lesson learned. Now onto a speedy recovery! πŸ’ͺ

#Chaturanga dandasana was it for me, and my body is that mountain. Believe it or not, it took a while before the pose became simple to me;  you know you're there when your thinking is clean, the body is light, and your smile is cheeky 😁 And along the way, you might even find some crazy people who loves to Chaturanga as much as you. Now - Chaturanga all day, everyday...Cha!

Sometimes, I choose to ignore what I already know is right all along. It is an inkling tugging at me to act, or even harder; to let go. It doesn't mean completing letting go of all responsibilities, or leaving it to other people, no. It's consciously, without force, allowing it all to fall into place the more I trust, the more I feel upon which quality action follows πŸ™ more and more I'm starting to believe that's the most powerful way to walk forward. .
