  • 15 minute ab circuit ✨

Love me a good ab workout. You can throw these in after any workout or just do them for fun while you’re watching TV.

Complete each exercise for 30 seconds no rest between exercise, but 30 secs rest between each round 4 rounds

♠️ plank + leg lift (30 secs per leg)
♠️ sliding plank jacks
♠️ sliding plank tucks
♠️ sliding mountain climbers
♠️ side plank dips (30 secs per side)

  • “From a young age, I felt the gravity of being Black. I was the one likely to be suspended or get in trouble and having a very diverse friend group was easy for me to really see the difference. Whether it was how I was treated by peers, at school, or even police, it was hard for me to recognize racism because so many of it gets internalized. I didn’t have the privilege to simply learn about racism, but instead had to face it as early as 10 years old. I’ve had teachers tell me I belong with 'people like me’ in community college and labeled as a delinquent. I tried bringing up these conversations on anti-Blackness with them, but it was shut down. Sometimes that’s what it takes.

We can’t teach students growing up thinking that this country is peachy keen when it’s not. There are things we aren’t taught in schools. We’re taught about Martin Luther King Jr., but not Malcolm X because he wasn’t a peaceful guy. Why aren’t we talking about that? I got to college and got involved in a program mentoring Black highschool students to achieve higher education. I encourage them to get engaged in these conversations, how to navigate this world, and even teach them the contributions of Black literature that is not taught in schools. I’ve learned that everyone deserves an opportunity. These students either don’t have the resources or foundation to get to college. Why are we not filling schools like UCLA? It’s not that we don’t have what it takes, but because we’re not given the opportunities. I hope to inspire the kids I teach to find their voice and that real beauty comes with courage, humility, and compassion with how you treat others.

I grew up as a musician and when I realized I could write too, I started producing music in college. I had friends who had wild impactful stories- people who died of suicide, gun violence, mental health issues, police violence, etc.. I’ve battled with my own life experiences, mental health issues and being Black. I knew I had to write these stories and tell mine as well. I never had a voice to speak up before and music became my personal protest to being silenced.”

  • Ramu bent tiek, kad prieš mano (kiek netikėtą) saviizoliaciją turėjau labai gerą savaitgalį - su daug gamtos, poilsio ir saulės! 🐚🌾☀️ ⠀
⠀
Man viskas gerai, esu saugiai namuose, sulaukiau neigiamų tyrimo rezultatų, bet braukiu ašarą, kad dvi savaites mano balso @powerhitradiolt eteryje neišgirsite... 😢🎧 ⠀

Saugokite save ir savo artimuosius! Nepamirškite kaukių! 😷🤞🏻💯
