  • A quote often attributed to Henry Ford says it best: “Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right.” You may think you’re making rational decisions  based on facts and figures, but in reality, your subconscious tends to drive the show. 

I find this to be so true in speaking with individuals who think they don’t have what it takes to be a home owner or invest in real estate outside of their primary residence with excuses varying from “I don’t think I can get a loan” to “I don’t have the down payment” to “I don’t think I can afford an investment property or second home” to “It just seems so scary”. 

One of my favorite sayings is “EVERYTHING IS FIGUREOUTABLE”. Thank you @marieforleo 🙌🏻 That particular phrase has been a personal mantra for me in my own real estate journey and in helping clients find the perfect property and build wealth through real estate. And, I’ll let you in on a little secret. Everything involved with real estate (and life in general) is totally figureoutable. 

Did you know that having a great realtor on your team from the very beginning can eliminate a lot of the stress and fear surrounding the purchase of real estate? A great realtor can guide you through the process every step of the way. Believe it or not, realtors do a lot more than open doors. A great realtor can help guide you through the process of figuring out how you’ll pay for a property, figuring out where your down payment will come from, figuring out the best location and type property for your specific wants and needs, figuring out the offer and contract process, and everything in between.

And another little secret that may be holding you back - The Seller pays the realtor commission. Not you. 

So, still think you can’t?? I know, for a fact, YOU CAN!

After two years of helping my clients buy, sell, and invest in real estate, I am so grateful to be settling in to my own home sweet home. 🏡⁣

Here's a few things that I think will be helpful for aspiring first time home buyers:⁣

𝟷. 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘯'𝘵 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘦. ⁣
In order to stay in budget, you'll need to prioritize your wish list. Think about what is most important to you, and become comfortable with compromise. There is no perfect house but there is one that's perfect for you and this season of life! Think of your first home as your foot in the door to homeownership. ⁣

  • Today is an exciting day to release our first photo from our recent lifestyle photoshoot with @erinmccall_ 😍

It is cool how some moments in life work out even when it feels far fetched. My mom and I had been talking about getting new headshots and possibly a larger photoshoot to update all of our material for months. We’ve had several conversations about being more “social” on social media. We also wanted people to get to know us professionally and personally.🤓

About a month ago, we were invited to a broker open but this was not any listing, this house was a stunning new remodel and listed at $5.25 Million in Nashville. We made every effort to go and see it and it did not disappoint! 🤩

It was like a light bulb went off in our heads as we were leaving. We needed to ask this agent if we could use this house for our photos. As awkward as it felt, he went above and beyond to help make sure the house was available to us. We love the generosity of our fellow Nashvillians and Parks agents! 💙

After we received the green light, we were on the hunt for a photographer. My daughter has modeled for a sweet children’s clothing boutique for years and we both love the photographer. We asked and she made it happen! Taking photos is such a vulnerable experience. You really need someone that gets your vision.

We thought what better way to support our favorite local businesses by featuring them throughout our photos? I really believe you’ll love what you see!

  • Im totally out of my comfort zone. 
An office, me? 
If it doesn’t work at least I learned, right?
💛First of all, I am a passion driven individual, if you are not passionate about it, then don’t do it. Also, I know that you need to follow your intuition, and take opportunities as a blessing. 
•Maybe, being in an office is not my passion, maybe Real Estate is not what I want to do, maybe just maybe I’m sticking to it cause there’s something there that I know is gonna make me greater, committed, discipline and successful. 
If you are not fully, totally and truly committed to creating wealth, chances are you won’t. 
•Are you willing to work sixteen hours a day? Rich people are. 
•Are you willing to work seven days a week and give up most of your weekends? Rich people are. 
•Are you willing to sacrifice seeing your family, your friends, and give up your recreations and hobbies? Rich people are. 
•Are you willing to rush all your time, energy, and start up capital with no guarantees of return? Rich people are. 
•Be committed enough to do whatever it takes. Period. 

💛Second of all, you aren’t gonna die trying.
