  • Is Morocco on your travel list, post-pandemic? Are you wondering if you should explore solo or book with a tourism company? My tips for you, below.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The answer is, it depends. Depends on your style of travel and where you plan on going. But generally, for first timers especially, I would say yes, to get the best experience out of Morocco, I recommend booking with a tourism company/guide. Why?!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I believe there’s some destinations that are worth doing your own investigative research, putting together your itinerary, creating a list of spots to hit, booking your own lodging & generally sightseeing and exploring without a guide (of course this can vary by activity). And then there’s others where you will truly get the best experience if you go through a tourism company and leave it to them to create the most ideal trip for you. Morocco, in my opinion, is one of those places.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It is a country that by-and-large relies on tourism and that includes their tourism companies, guides, packages, experiences etc. So, to book with a local company, is to support the local company. It’s also a country with a lot of wonderful and diverse cities to explore, so you’ll want to figure out what kind of trip you’re looking for — a desert adventure escape or a relaxing stay in the riads of Marrakech? How about both?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Booking with a tourism company, makes it a more affordable and overall wholesome trip — you won’t have to worry about the logistics of road trips or accommodation, while getting the full “local” experience with your guide. My mom and I booked a private tour (with a company called Marrakech Adventures @marrakechadventures ) and it was sooo worth it. Our guide was SO sweet, knowledgeable and fun.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Also, while this might sound like an ad... it’s not. It’s me trying to go back to basics & share travel tips with my friends, network, and followers. Hope this helps 💛
