  • With everything going on, we hope you are able to do what you need to do to take care of your physical and mental health.

Evidently there’s a lot of fear amongst the many, from friends, to family and even our neighbours, but we hope we can do our best to remain calm, supportive, kind to one another and help those around us.

Ps - It’s a good time to reflect on things we’ve always taken for granted.

Check out the recent Journal on some of the ways to keep a positive perspective and appreciate some of simpler, smaller things just a little bit more. ✨

  • “Those piles of ruins which you see in that narrow valley watered by the Nile, are the remains of opulent cities, the pride of the ancient kingdom of Ethiopia (the term often used by author to reference ancient Black civilizations)⠀
⠀
There a people, now forgotten, discovered while others were yet barbarians, the elements of the arts and sciences. A race of men now rejected from society for their sable skin and frizzled hair, founded on the study of the laws of nature, those civil and religious systems which still govern the universe (Parentheses added).”-French philosopher and historian C.F. Volney⠀
 ⠀
 ⠀
Not only does Volney note with palpable surprise that the originators of the most important elements of civilization are Africans, but he also acknowledges the great travesty done to their descendants.”In the cruelest irony, the sable skinned, frizzy haired mothers and father of civilization are now those who are rejected.”-French philosopher and historian C.F. Volney⠀
⠀
While his position is much more unusual, Volney is not the only Western scholar to recognize the central position of African nations in the development of civilization. Joseph McCabe, free thinker, writer, and former Roman Catholic priest, also contrasts the ancient position of the European.⠀

  • I’m incredibly beautiful.
And so is every. single. person.

I truly believe this; and I’ve learned to look for and admire the unique beauty in everyone and everything. Even in the most unlikely places.

It makes for a brighter life💛

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But only Uncle Nearest whiskey! This stuff is so smooth!! I have never been a whiskey drinker at all. That’s Jordan’s choice. But after I tried this omggg I highly recommend it to everyone!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Fun fact about this brand; it’s black owned. The founder, Nathan Green, also known as Nearis, was a slave in Lynchburg, TN. Mr.Green became known as the best whiskey maker throughout Tennessee & eventually the whole world.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Nearis continued to distill whiskey his entire life, even after he became a free man.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Also, Nathan Green was the one who taught Jack Daniel how to make whiskey, who is the founder of the famous Jack Daniels whiskey. 😱
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Not an ad, but it should be 😂

 ⠀
The notion that the entire continent of Africa contributed nothing to human advancement is a very common falsehood. ⠀
 ⠀
Even though scholars now agree that Africa is the birthplace of humanity, many people still question whether it assisted in the development of any of the major aspects of our modern society. ⠀
 ⠀
Doesn't this seem contrary to basic common sense? If modern humans and their predecessors originated in Africa, wouldn't they have had a head start in creating "human culture"? This common sense argument is one that many have considered even before they were able to put all the facts together in order to prove it.⠀
⠀
Consider how an intelligent young student of African descent grappled with these issues. As an adult he would play an unmatched role in proving the importance of Africa in the development of civilization. Let's hear a dramatic retelling of his story.⠀

  • @cairoumrani After 4.5 hours worth of driving from Vegas to Page, AZ, I finally made it to Upper Antelope Canyon. This tour is sold out throughout the summer, so I snagged the very last opening for this day over a month ago. I took the 1:30 pm tour, but 11:30 is the best time to go to see the light beams throughout the canyon. Well worth everything - the drive was so scenic and beautiful, the canyon is amazing and the city of Page is full of fun things to do.⁣

  • Through studies of the genetic information which is transferred from mother to daughter indefinitely (mitochondrial DNA which is only found in the black women), researchers discovered that every single human on the planet is the descendant of one African woman. ⠀
 ⠀
While she was not the only woman alive in her time or even the first woman; her lineage is the only one that survived. The "Mitochondrial Eve", as she has been called, lived around 200,000 years ago and was probably an early member of Homo sapiens classification.⠀
⠀
⠀
The concept of the European origin of humanity has been refuted. Africa was not only home to early ancestors of modern humans but also its most evolved form, Homo sapiens sapiens. Africa is the cradle of humanity.”⠀

Proverbs 4:5-9:
5 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
6 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.
7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.
9 She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.

Yeah! I'm ready to do a couple of days in a bikini while swinging away on a hammock over the water with a pretty drink in hand.

Who else is in need of a lazy beach day🙋🏽‍♀️?
