  • Want to get the best out of our glute workouts? Or do you feel like you’re not getting much progress what you train them? Make sure that you properly warm them up for ultimate glute activation.

We spend a majority of our day sitting on our booty. That means they muscles are basically getting groggy and lazy. We need to wake them up! It’s very common for a lot of us to have poor glute activation for this reason and we don’t get the most out of 🍑 workouts. The secret to getting the most out of lower-body work is to wake up our glutes as we activate the rest of your muscles. 

What is glute activation? Glute activation is a series of warm-up exercises to properly strengthen the muscles in your bum, which will get your glute muscles firing. Switching on your glutes before you train them means they do the work, rather than relying on surrounding muscles to pick up the slack. 

Glute Activation Warm-up:

▫️3x10 Banded Lying Clams
▫️3x10 Single Leg abridge

  • Here’s a BOOTY workout you can do using just a band or body weight if you don’t have one! 

I pushed myself to workout yesterday and it was so good! I had to cut it short though as I was getting eaten alive by mosquitoes 😝 so here is what I managed to get done :

1️⃣ Sumo squat 20x3
2️⃣ Superset: Good mornings to sumo DL 20x3
3️⃣ Split lunge 10x3
4️⃣ Glute bridge 20x3 to 20s hold

Complete 4 sets total! 30 seconds on 30 seconds rest. 1min rest between sets. For the pushups I just did a set of 20 reps instead of going for 30secs lol (my upper body is still weak)😅

This was a fun little circuit that I completed after I went for a little jog with my brother yesterday. I haven’t seen them (the twins) in about 8months so it was nice to get home and spend some time with them💕

Calories have been consistent for the past couple of weeks now, feeling strong and the plan is to keep trying to progress with my lifts. If you’ve been around for some time you’ll know I absolutely destroyed, annihilated, ruined (u get the idea) my lower back squatting earlier this year. So I’ve also got a massive focus on really getting my form and breathing (brace my core)  on point.

Steps @ 10k a day and ain’t changing them, also keeping in 2x20 min cardio sessions just because I enjoy them. Same split too. Looking to increase calories on lower days ((but taking baby steps on this)) ✨p.s. did someone say giveaway soon? 👀

Happy Friday friends. This workout is quick and effective.

Set your timer to 15 mins, and do 8 reps of each exercise. Once u finish all the exercises, repeat the set. How many sets can u get through in 20 mins? AMRAP (as many reps as you can)

Tbh since quarantine I have been feeling really pushed out of my comfort zone with gyms being closed and training being completely changed until my gym reopened recently. I lost muscle, I lots gains, and I didn’t know how I felt about it at first cuz it wasn’t what I planned. But once I surrendered to the fact that these were factors that I can’t control, I found a whole new reservoir of motivation... YOU CONTROL YOUR MOTIVATION. You are in control, even tho there are all the other things being thrown at you are out of your control...remember that your motivation, drive, work ethic are all in YOUR CONTROL💓⠀

  • ⁣hello 🧚🏼‍♀️ it’s been a while! so so much has changed since i last wrote in my caption... so here’s a little update! ⠀

i moved (back) to vancouver island! this has been a goal of mine for many years, as i was born here and feel most comfortable here 🥰 it’s been very exciting (and stressful) starting this new adventure during such an uncertain time, but i have complete faith in the universe that i’m on my path 🌞⠀

i’ve changed my training split recently, and have really pulled the reigns in on my nutrition and i am already seeing changes. nutrition is so, SO key in training. this is something i struggle most with, as my hunger is and always has been very low, so gaining weight is difficult as i basically eat past satiation every single meal. but we’re making gains !!! ⠀

i’m trying to be more active on instagram, however i am quite a private person so it’s been a challenge to step out of my comfort zone in that way. it’s been a goal of mine though to “put myself out there” more, so i hope y’all don’t mind seeing more of me on here 😅 even writing these captions, i’m always second-guessing if anyone even reads them 🥺 either way, i’m showing up for myself and that’s on personal growth 🙂⠀
