  • We had a late start this morning...for the first in a long time I finally slept. I made a fabulous cappuccino and  healthy breakfast.

Fried egg with coconut oil spray, 2 @applegate chicken and maple sausage, sliced sweet potatoes and zucchini cooked with coconut oil spray, salt and pepper. All cooked in one skillet.

  • TACO TIME 🌮 Most tortillas are already gluten-free, but we tried a recipe that is also corn free! Here’s what you need to create your own soft shells. 

✨Ingredients:
1. 2 cups Garbanzo Bean Flour
2. 1 cup Tapioca Flour
3. 1 tbsp Baking Powder
4. 1 tsp Salt 
5. 2 cups Warm Water
6. 1 tbsp Olive Oil
7. 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar

✨What you’ll need to do: 
1. Combine the flours, baking powder and salt in a bowl, whisk well
2. Next add the water, olive oil, and apple cider vinegar to the flour mixture.
3. Preheat medium nonstick skillet to medium low
4a. Use a tortilla press to flatten a ball of dough mixture. Place in a heated pan and cook for 30s-1min and then flip for another 30s-1min.
4b. (What we did) Add half a cup of water to make the mixture less viscous and pour it onto a pan (like you would when making pancakes 🥞)

These need to be eaten fresh. Enjoy with your favourite taco fillings!!

  • It’s a perfect Saturday morning to bake up some of my 6-Seed Bread. 💃🕺

This bread is candida cleanse approved so we have been indulging in it! It is quite dense as it contains no flour, but rather, only seeds. Seeds are high in protein and essential fatty acids. Seeds contain phytoestrogens that protect against cancer and contain minerals like magnesium, potassium calcium and manganese. They are a good source of iron, phosphorous and copper too. They are also very high in fibre! 

Fibre is important to help absorb toxins in the small intestine. It keeps the contents of the digestive tract moving and it also feeds the good bacteria that reside there. 

Seeds contain both soluble fibre and insoluble fibre. The soluble fibre increases the consistency of the contents in the intestines and slows down digestion rate, which will help regulate blood sugar and lower cholesterol levels. 

The insoluble fibre allows more water to bind to the stools, increases their bulk and results in softer stools. This is useful for preventing constipation. 

We love this bread as a quick snack, especially in the evening – it gets things moving in the morning! 💩

Hello les ptits chats, hier soir m'a prise l'idée de faire des cookies fourrés au caramel vegan car il m'en reste de la recette de shortbread alors fallait le mettre en valeur et waw.. Tuerie ! 

Alors pour 5 cookies :
× 50g de margarine végétale
× 60g de sucre blond de canne
× 50g de farine de riz 
× 35g de farine de petit épeautre (ou que riz pour une version sans gluten) 
× 1cac de levure chimique
× 1cas de lait végétal 
× 70g de pépites de chocolat noir
× Caramel VG (recette dans un post récent)

1/ Dans un saladier mélanger la margarine molle (pas fondue) avec le sucre. Y ajouter la farine, la levure. Ajuster avec le lait végétal et terminer par les pépites de chocolat.
2/ Mettre au congélateur durant 15min pour faciliter la mise forme.
3/ Sur une plaque, y mettre du papier cuisson.
4/ Diviser la pâte en 10 parts égales puis former 5 bases en formant un petit puits au centre pour y déposer du caramel. Refermer avec les 5 autres bouts de pâtes et soudant bien aux bases.
5/ Enfourner 15 min à 170°C
6/ Dévorer !

Belle journée 🖤
Moi je file bosser, eh oui pas de repis pour moi aujourd'hui un 15 août !
