This was a bloody hard workout. 🥵

I was scrolling through my photos and stopped once I saw this 🙊 and the memory I have attached to this photo I'll never forget.

It was the first workout back after Christmas 🎄 (27th) and it was a cardio session early in the morning and it was tough. I was hot, sweaty and I felt like the amount of food I ate at Christmas was still in my stomach.

Yet I love looking at this photo as a if you could do it then, you can do it now. I was sweaty, and looking like a 🍅 but wouldn't have it any other way 💪

Cannot wait to get back to this fitness level and dedication.

Only forwards and up from here! So next time you're lacking in fitness motivation, look at where you are and where you were and then look at where you want to be and how you're going to smash those goals 😋

P.s bring back summer plz 🙏 winter can go away now 😂

It’s AMAZING to strive for future goals and I love doing so but please don’t loose out on the amazing day to day process of getting there. If you find yourself always looking forward and struggle to be present then try these:

✖️Stop and write down 3 things that made you smile TODAY
✖️Name 2 things you are grateful for right now
✖️Make a list of everything that is going well in your life currently
✖️Start the day and write down 2/3 things you are excited about!

The last one really helps me get into a great state for the day. Romanticising little things like meeting a friend for coffee, working out in a gym, face timing my family, working on a project that I love, cooking a new recipe ect

The happier we are in our CURRENT state, the more happiness we will attract in our future ✨☁️

I heard this quote today on the Nike run club app today and it is just a reminder to all of us that it takes time, effort and consistency to get ANYWHERE. 
In the context of health and fitness, it can be disheartening when you feel like you are not progressing, but all the small actions you take day by day really do add up and produce results in the long run.
We as humans always want instant gratification....especially in the modern world which is driven by quick fixes and convenience. We are used to having most things at our disposal and we naturally crave comfort and familiarity...
However, to get anywhere, it takes time, energy, effort and patience..... 😅
Why do we have to be uncomfortable to change? 
1.
It’s the nature of life...no one understands it lol. BUT I do believe we cannot truly appreciate the true value of something unless we have earned it ourselves. 
2.
We are creatures that adapt to our environment - our bodies are always striving to achieve a state of homeostasis. So if we do the same things over and over, our bodies are smart enough to ADAPT and change accordingly.
That’s why we have to keep challenging ourselves...
Otherwise we will plateau and limit our potential for progression.
That’s my two cents for the day.

On the left was exactly 5 years ago when I bought my first car on my own. It was a huge moment in my life that emphasized change was on the horizon. I had started my career in mining and about a year after that started Keto. ⁣
