Lets  talk about part 2 of breakfast post.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 
Your breakfast plate  should contain all the  food groups given bellow.🍽 1⃣ GRAINS: 🍞 (porridge, bread, chapatti, or other cereals etc). 2⃣ PROTEINS: 🍳 (the source of protein we  use in breakfast is "Egg"(whole). But if u have other plant or animal based proteins available then u can use them as well, some other day I will talk about detailed sources of protein In sha Allah). 3⃣ FRUITS:🍊 how can u start your day without a fruit, fresh seasonal fruit. A fruit  is good for improving your appetite and facilitate your digestive system. Always select fresh and seasonal fruits to get more Nutritional benefits. 
Canned fruits❌. 4⃣ VEGETABLES: 🍅 If u wants to add fiber in your breakfast then add vegetables also. The best way to add is "Vegetable omelet". 5⃣ MILK AND MILK PRODUCTS: for me "Doodh k baghair nashta adhoora". Take a cup of milk a yougurt or milk based dessert.

6⃣ NUTS: To look more attractive your Breakfast plate, add your favourite nuts as well. Walnuts(my all time favourite), Almonds, pistachio or many others.

PORTION SIZE "Kitna khana sbsy eham"

How much you are supposed to eat is the backbone of Nutritional knowledge.

Different age groups have different recommended portion size bt here is a general overview for all

1. GRAINS  Bread (whole wheat) ▶ 2 slices  Chapatti/paratha(whole wheat)▶6 inches.
Porridge or other cereals▶half cup

2.PROTEINS  Egg(whole)▶ 1 
3. FRUITS  Fresh seasonal ▶ 1 whole. There are few variations as well.

4. VEGETABLES  1 Cup▶ fresh  1/2 cup ▶cooked.

5. MILK AND MILK PRIDUCTS  1 cup▶ milk  1/2 cup ▶ yogurt  1/2 cup▶ milk based desserts
Note: there are few variations as well.
6. NUTS  A handful of nuts daily.

I think the root of so much of my personal suffering is that I've never known how to be aware of others' suffering, even historically, and be able to calm myself. And then I'm rendered helpless, overwhelmed, and horribly guilty for feeling depressed over my shortcomings in a very privileged life. And then I feel selfish on top of it & in the end, this empathy has helped few and made me a self-loathing potato. Erg! I am trying to look now. Not at the villains of our world, but at those who suffer, often because of them. If I can look, and not have it be about me, then I can finally really help. The closest I've gotten is reading the stories of several political prisoners, their horrific treatment (ahhhhhh, screaming internally...so hard to look), and write letters to leaders on their behalf (via Amnesty International). I have shutdown for a bit afterwards, but it is still my proudest achievement. Looking back, my first claustrophobic/panic experience was in Victoria, BC at the Medieval wax museum of torture. What the hell I was doing in there I'll never know...I kinda remember it was on the way out? The horror, the cruelty shook me to the core. I closed my eyes, grabbed my sister's hand, fell apart as she pulled me out. How to exist with one foot in that world, the other healing. The knowledge of their wounds has been my undoing & all I can do is be pathetic. (So far) Hmm. Looks like I just found the source of my self-loathing.

Most of us want to heal our friends, daughters, sons, partners, clients, parents, and are even called to heal the world on a greater scale. What if the first requirement was to focus on truly healing ourselves first? And ONLY then diffusing our precious reserves and moving toward shifting the energy of another. Emotional, Financial, and Psychological support are best provided from a place of balance and relative wholeness on the end of the giver. Fear, guilt, uncertainty, and unconscious wounds prevent this. Continuing to give with an empty wallet, tired soul, and broken heart are not serving you and nor the recipient. (((💚)))
