The one with the gradual steady climb in places ...but  then that steep climb that has you questioning why you even began the hike in the first place?

The one you’ve fallen over along a few times and landed on your 🍑 but dusted yourself off and kept on climbing anyway ( muttering some choice words under your breath 🤬🤣)
.
We’ve all encountered this mountain climb ( or proverbial “ climb” ) occasionally in our lifetimes. Sometimes we fell down and chose to go home and sulk it off. Other times we pushed ourselves and gave ourselves a pep talk and finished what we started, only to grow stronger from the experience and be rewarded with the amazing feeling of satisfaction and achievement when we succeeded and got to the top! 👏🏻

Remember the times you did something that challenged you

Now remember how great that sense of achievement was! Remember how amazing it felt to complete something you set out to - even though it was hard and you questioned giving up once, twice, three times or even more!

  • Sheet Pan Roasted Turkey Sausage w/Brussel Sprouts and Bell Peppers! Meal prep so easy you just set it and FORGET IT!

BOOKMARK AND SAVE FOR LATER!

I love a sheet pan recipe because it requires almost no preparation skill or time. Just set it and forget it and you’ll be on your way to a lean healthy lifestyle! Perfect to make in large quantities so you can have your diner prepped for the week in a flash!

Ingredients:

1 pound trimmed whole Brussels sprouts 
2 Bell peppers, cut into quarters 
1 Red Onion, Cut into 1” wedges
1-3 tbsp olive oil 
1 tbsp each - garlic salt and chilli powder(season to desired preference)
Sprinkle of kosher salt 
Sprinkle of freshly ground black pepper 
6 Italian sausages

Directions:
* Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
* Add the vegetables to a baking sheet. Add the olive oil, seasoning, salt and pepper and toss. Put the sausages in and around the vegetables.
* Bake until the sausages are cooked through and the vegetables are tender, 40 to 45 minutes. Serve.

Serve with spinach or a nice salad and you’ll have a picture perfect meal you can eat all week!

With food this delicious, you won’t even notice you’re on a diet!

⁣Pantas saja turun baru 2 kg tapi celana mulai longgar, pipi mulai tirusan dan baju lama bisa dipakai lagi🤗🤗 ⁣

⁣Dengan catatan yang harus turun adalah LEMAKnya. Banyak juga yang turun berat badan tapi tidak ada perubahan, karena taunya kalo mau turun berat badan dengan mengurangi makan. Kurusan tapi kok ga fresh dan malah kayak orang sakit. Ini bisa dikarenakan dari makanan yang kurang bernutrisi ato kurang istirahat. 😱😱⁣

Lalo na kung may sakit ka. Perfect to para sayo. Kasi yung lola at lolo ko pinainom ko na nito same pattern tea plus flat belly blueprint. Result less to zero rayuma.

"I only eat 1,200 calories but I can't lose weight" - it's something we hear people saying all the time. And while we joke about it, it's actually very easy to be eating in a surplus without realising it.⠀⠀

There are a lot of ways that you can "miss" calories that you're eating - often you don't even realise that you've had them.⠀⠀

If you want to take control of your diet, then you need to take control. It's important that in the beginning you measure your food intake as accurately as possible. Some will argue that this is excessive or obsessive - but I argue that it's about educating you in your nutrition. It gives you a better understanding of things like portion sizes for example.⠀⠀

There's a big push lately for the trend of "intuitive" eating. The practice of "eyeballing" portions and quantities of foods. It's worth noting that the majority of people who say things like "I don't count calories I guestimate" are people who have a fair bit of experience tracking calories. They don't eyeball their diet because it's "better" than counting calories, they do it because they have the tools calorie counting gave them.⠀⠀

So, keep an eye out for any of the above reasons. Pay attention to serving sizes on foods labels and always verify the calorie info that you get online (yes even MyFitnessPal can be wrong!)⠀⠀

  • From 2014-2016 I taught in Hartwell Georgia. Not a long teaching career but long enough to make a huge impact on my life.

Our school was a private Christian school comprised of about 1/3 students who’s parents wanted them in a Christian school, 1/3 students who had been kicked out of public schools and 1/3 students who’s parents didn’t want them in a public school but had little to no religious affiliation. 
.
Needless to say we had a large mix of backgrounds and beliefs. 
.
I heard some of the students stories and after they left my classroom I bawled my eyes out. How could kids so young already experience so much hurt? I had students with self-esteem so low that they believed the only option left was suicide. I had students who were so angry that they put their fists through walls on regular occasions. I had students who felt abandoned. I had students who felt lost. I had students in pain...
.
I had students who need to be loved. They didn’t need me to teach them about health or music, they needed me to show them that they were worthy!
.
I know the situations I mentioned above are not uncommon to teachers. 
.
And I know that as a teacher, you already have a million different things you’re worrying about this year.
.
But teachers, I want to encourage you...
.
If your students end the year knowing they’re loved and worthy, you’ve won!
.
Seriously, that’s it. Because once they know their worth, they will desire to live from that worth. That desire will cause them to excel at everything they put their minds to!

So I know you may have a lot on your plate but focus on love and you’ll win.

Before I met @ginodafonseca I was single for 11 years. My heart got broken by one douchebag after the other (my taste in men improved drastically over the years 🤣🙈). I always tried to change myself because I was so insecure. As soon as someone treated me bad, I felt the need to show them why I was worth treating right 🤦🏽‍♀️⠀

The way I looked also played a huge role in this, I thought I would find love if I’d have the best shape ever. Well let me tell you, a real man looks further than just a shape!! Gi was the first man who didn’t came on to me because I looked “hot” (at least, he didn’t give me that impression 🤪) and was sincerely interested in me as a person 🥰

During our relationship I went from sixpack to love handles and everything in between but he never once judged me for the way I look. For me cardio has never been boring. I’ve always sneaked it in with a sport, be it - football, golf, cricket, badminton, table tennis, swimming, Kho-Kho you name it 😂

I’ve never done 100 reps of Deadlifts or forced myself to run on a treadmill or just do something I don’t like. It doesn’t need to be done that way 🤷🏼‍♂️

You might ask, how do you calculate how many calories you’ve burnt? My answer: Please don’t bother, it doesn’t matter. You need to like what you do otherwise you won’t do it for long. You’re better off calculating the calories that you consume! 💪🏼

    You might ask, how do you calculate how many calories you’ve burnt? My answer: Please don’t bother, it doesn’t matter. You need to like what you do otherwise you won’t do it for long. You’re better off calculating the calories that you consume! 💪🏼

But dichotomous thinking such as viewing foods as “good or bad”, “black or white” and “unhealthy or healthy” might actually be hindering your weight loss goals 😯

Palascha et al (2015) concluded that “holding dichotomous beliefs about food may be linked to a rigid dietary restraint, which in turn impedes people's ability to maintain a healthy weight.” 🧐

This may be due to the fact that if rigid dieters violate their dieting rules, the “all-or-nothing” mindset may lead them to abandon the diet completely and overeat. This what leads to the classic yo-yo dieting situation.

On the other hand, you have the flexible approach which allows fatty/sweet/calorie dense foods once in a while. Consequently, people who have more flexible dietary rules seem to be more successful adhering to the diet and therefore maintaining their weight.

Although there are of-course foods that are going to be calorie dense and/or nutrient sparse and therefore should be limited, shifting away from this type of mindset will likely be beneficial long term👌🏼
.
So please stop referring to foods as “clean” and enjoy some damn cinnabuns now and then 😜

I’m all about the “journey”. But…I do believe there are 2-3 times per year where you can “sprint” towards fat loss.⁣⁣⁣

These 2-6 week spurts include a reduction in calories in addition to an increase in exercise. I would not recommend longer than 4-6 weeks as you will probably go into a state of overtraining (technically overreaching).⁣⁣⁣

Great times for these sprints are January (after the holidays), May (before summer bod), and September/October (post summer feels). However, you can choose to “sprint” towards fat loss any time of the year.⁣⁣⁣

In regards to a long term strategy, stick to the left side. This will serve you well year round.⁣⁣⁣

I hope you use both side to achieve your best body!⁣⁣⁣

*PLEASE NOTE: Bodyweight in lbs. Also, these are general recommendations. Of course, each individual will have different caloric needs. You will have to play with your caloric intake to find what works for you. For example, people who are on their feet all day and/or fidgety will typically need more calories than someone who is sitting at work all day and then comes homes and sits most of the night. If you are prone to disordered eating and/or overexercising, the left side would work better for you.⁣⁣⁣
