We started talking about time, and if 3 Months was enough time to make progress.

Then was talking about what ifs. Literally. He asked, what if this happens, what if that, etc.
⠀
So I was clear and upfront. I told this person that if someone can't invest 3, 6 or 12 Months in themselves, invest money and work in themselves, then they have other problems then need to figure out.
When it comes to really wanting to make a healthy and positive change to your life, and wanting to reach certain goals, then you should have no problem investing time and money into YOURSELF.  If you can't do that, then what can you do?

Nothing happens overnight. Especially with your health and fitness goals and building that body you want. It takes time and work and not everyone's journey will be the same. Some may lose weight quicker than others, and some may take a little longer. Why? Because everyone's bodies are different.

So don't look short term. Don't look at a temporary fix or temporary help. Look at longevity and consistency.

Look at the reasons why you should work on your health and fitness goals, and not the reasons of why not to and the what ifs. Don't hold yourself back over silly things. Don't be your own worst enemy😓

  • Read on for how I worked up to my one rep max back squat 👇.⠀

I hadn’t attempted to find out my one rep max since I’d started consistently lifting weights back in March. My husband and I dedicated an exercise session entirely to finding our max. I made sure to warm up by starting with mobility: 90/90s for my hips and then stretching out my ankles. Look at my mobility post on my profile to see how I do these moves. ⠀

Then, I warmed up the actual squat movement and began with the bar and then added weight to it. I also made a prediction of what I thought my one rep max would be. For the lighter weights, I went with five reps. As it got heavier, I decreased to three reps. As I neared what felt like my max, I decreased to two reps and then singles. ⠀

I would jump up by 10 lbs when weight felt light then 5 lbs as things got heavier and heavier.⠀
⠀
Take your time. Warm up thoroughly. Don’t injure yourself. Don’t push yourself if you’re feeling overly exhausted or when your form has completely broken down. It’s not worth it just to have a higher number on paper. ⠀

At the end of our session, I hit 150 lbs! I had predicted 130 lbs, so I even surpassed my own guess! It felt great and increased my confidence in moving heavy weight even more. ⠀

The obsession behind closed doors right now are META tags. Much akin to a hashtag. ⁣

To be search-able is to show up constantly, on the daily speaking to “what you do, who you help, and to achieve _________”⁣

In pondering this — if you focused more on educating peers what you do and leveraging JOINT audiences... crazy... you’d uncover YOUR audience faster.⁣

Like sharing cake with your bestie, two peas in a pod sharing calories. ⁣
⁣
In organizing, building, and working to attract audiences... we (teams+self) build the systems to sustain 100s of 1000s in traffic. ⁣

But in the beginning: when you find “1” ... you know how to then find millions more. ⁣

  • Change your mindset, change your life.

We all make excuses.

My past was full of them.

The “old” me would have taken the situations of life and coped in unhealthy ways.

I’m mentally strong enough to admit that.

Probably come home, drink a beer or 5, eat like shit, and feel bad for whatever is going on.

Life doesn’t stop for anyone.

Digging myself into a self-made hole does what? Makes me feel good for about 0 seconds.

Hear that? SELF-MADE hole.

Now, this doesn’t make me better than you.. know that, heart that, feel that.

But I know how to handle myself mentally now.

Sure, I have off days, I have times where I feel down, but I also don’t allow my bitch voice to take over like it used to.

I literally tell myself to stop being a bitch and get my shit done.

Working on yourself mentally can go SO FAR you guys.

And waiting for the “right moment” to start working on this..... well... there is no “right moment” ..... But there’s ways you can start.

Which means, you have to break whatever unhealthy habits you have, and start small, but work towards a better YOU.

However, it’s not all sunshine & rainbows.-🍋Motivation won’t always be high, & there will be times where you simply don’t want to train. Achieving success in training, or in life requires discipline -- doing what needs to be done, even if you don’t want to do it. You understand that your work ethic & small sacrifices amount to big results.-🎡Consistency trumps short-term intensity. But to get the most out of your training, bring *both*. Just going in & going through the motions won’t get it done.-🐸Go in with a purpose. Get rid of distractions & disconnect from everything outside so you can focus, & get 💩 done.-🎯If you want to get results you have to put in work for an appreciable amount of time. It requires patience. Chances are you won’t do this if you’re not enjoying the process. Boredom kills gains faster than poor training & dieting. Find your passion & you’ll find a way to be successful.-
