  • Dos de mis movimientos favoritos. Primero algunas repeticiones de "Tuck Skin the cat" (o deshollando al gato, el peor nombre de un ejercicio en la historia XD) excelente para activar la escapula, los dorsales y los hombros en todo su rango de movimiento. Segundo, "Suport Hold RTO" (sostén de soporte con los aros girados hacia afuera), un movimiento particularmente complicado de estabilizar que requiere una fuerte depresión de los hombros y de rotación externa para evitar que los codos se muevan hacia dentro. Estos los hago como parte de mi calentamiento, pero intento progresar en ellos como si formaran parte de mi rutina, y me han ayudado bastante a mejorar en otras áreas. Los aros de gimnasia son lo mejor 😁

Post-drink workout with some of my old mates from @fajar_calisthenics. These were the bars that I ripped my hand on the previous time, so I played it safe by stopping at my 3rd set of 10 muscle ups - shown here.

Rounded off the session with another 3x10 pull ups and 3x10 dips of varying grips, along with some random monkeying around. Life is good when you can drink beer and work out! 🍺

Heute an der Beinpresse 40/60/80 kg mit jeweils 10 Wiederholungen.

80 kg habe ich vorher noch nicht geschafft. Echt heftig.☺️

☺️ Ja und Kniebeugen 3 x 30 kg mit 10 Wiederholungen

Und Wadentraining mit 3 x 40 kg.

Mehr war bei der Hitze einfach nicht drin ... 

Ich bin echt froh, dass ich zwischendurch mein zutrinig duftendes Coolingspray nutze, das rettet mich echt.

It’s nice to prepare hard for some time and then let yourself go. 

Shouldn’t it work like this?

How long one should prepare?
What would be the final performance?
How much you should depend on experience and intuition?

These type of questions come to my mind every time I’m preparing something for people. The more time passes the more I feel you shall always be prepared for anything without preparation.

  • Challenged and humbled by these single leg exercises post track speed work. 🥵 Unilateral work is effective for shoring up side to side deficiencies while improving strength, stability, and mobility (especially when incorporated in different planes of motion). Learn how your body moves. Challenge it. Fail. Relearn. Grow. Repeat. ♾💪 

Save these videos, try them out with any household object or light db, and let me know what you think. 

[1] Single Leg Deadlift Pickups to Overhead Press
[2] SL Rotation Deadlift Pickups go Lateral Raise
[3] SL Squat Pass
[4] SL Reach Through

Aim for x5-20 reps on each exercise for at least two sets each leg. Move in a range of motion you feel controlled and comfortable in to start. Keep practicing. 

Add these to your leg days, before or after a workout or run, or as their own workout.
