  • Consistency will bridge the gap between an A & a C student.
.
How as a parent you can help your child bridge this gap?
1. Stop relying on the teacher to provide all the work your child gets
2. Go get some workbooks & start practicing
3. Get reading books and actually let your child read them!
4. Bedtime story is a great way to integrate reading & improve comprehension skills by asking questions
5. Get them in a program that not only teaches curriculum but deals with growth mindset @the_mathacademy
6. Children remember actions not really words. Show them you actively being consistent at something & the rewards you reap

  • Spirituality is about remembering and embedding our true essence, not a hard work of fixing. The more you see yourself and your children as inherently whole, the more loving and enjoyable your journey together will be.

Be Humble!
As we're observing and experiencing these days that some of us are not able to handle our success. By achieving very little, we feel like we've reached on top of the world. Won't say that is wrong but friends, we have to admit that whatever we've done, are doing or will be doing in future is already done by someone else unless we invent something new.
Even if we do it, being down to earth or humble must always be our first thing. Never ever let the success mislead your mind.

One of the great personalities about whom my mother used to tell me since i was kid was an accurate and appropriate example of a humble and down to earth person.
I won't be mentioning his name before telling his story and you guys would understand why after you read the story ; )

And before starting remember that Frederick Lenz says, "People who are humble don't talk too much; they listen." which will be justified by this story:
Once upon a time, Mohammad Yusuf Khan professionally known as Dilip Kumar, who is an actor, producer and philanthropist was traveling to some place in a flight. He was consumed by his success and stardom that he never realised that an even bigger persona was sitting inside the aeroplane. He was instead checking for people's reactions on seeing him in the flight.

What was more intriguing for Dilip saab was the fact that this one particular fellow sitting right by his side didn't seem to care about him being in the plane, unlike the others. The old man sat nonchalant and was unperturbed by a star's presence in the flight. He was keen on reading his newspaper and rarely looked here and there.

  • Maybe you've always heard this scripture as "seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you", but you weren't sure how to seek ye the kingdom of God and his righteousness.  I wasn't sure either, so I started reading other translations.  Here's what I discovered ... Well, it simply means give him first place in your life and live as he wants you to.

For me, I've found I give God first place in my life by giving him my first hour of the day.  He gets the best of me from the beginning of my day.  Since I began doing this, my world has radically changed.  Yes, RADICALLY.

  • In order to create a more inclusive world, empathy has to be apart of the conversation.

Children naturally have empathy. In fact, babies use empathy for survival. They cry, you come running.
But, the person who comes running often looks like them.
Researchers have found that children tend to be heavily influenced by Empathy Bias and the way to combat this is to intentionally teach them to be aware and inclusive.

This also starts with us... The way you live your life is the best classroom for the younger people watching you.

Oftentimes, it takes more than books and stories.
It takes your child seeing you out in the world empathizing and showing up for others.
If you have a personal goal of being more empathetic and supportive of everyone you come into contact with, the young people in your life will take notice.

  • FREE from generosity is different than FREE from obligation
⠀
Businesses are struggling. We are looking to our right and left and wondering what the best way forward is
⠀
Even fully operational online businesses will be impacted in one way or another. And I continue to see leaders and coaches advise to not giving away things for Free, that *this* is the time to push forward, and to not discount your services
⠀
I get it. I also agree. To a point. AND
This doesn’t leave enough room for nuance
⠀
How are we serving and leading and healing/helping our clients and community?
⠀
👉Free out of generosity is Abundance
👉Free out of obligation is Scarcity
⠀
The choice for you and your business is personal. If you give freely and generously, your time and knowledge (and maybe some of your programs and/coaching), that’s okay
⠀
Just because I offer free workouts to anyone who needs them, doesn’t mean I de value what I offer on a regular basis or what I’m currently doing for my clients
⠀
FREE out of obligation feels different. While some may lose a few clients, others face the stark reality of closed doors, health challenges, and hunger
⠀
We need generosity. We are looking for compassion
WILD generosity and compassion ⠀
And if you have the bandwidth to give, WHY THE EFF NOT?!?
⠀
So I give from a business model built on abundance and sufficiency, and acknowledge that I have a ton of privilege in the ability to do so
⠀
Yes, I have freaked out
Yes, I have been through all the worst case scenarios
Yes, selling and even maintaining business feels daunting
⠀
AND I know my value system. I serve my clients and community from a place of generosity, abundance, compassion, and grace
⠀
It’s what we ALL need right now
⠀
Maybe that’s free shit
Maybe people can and will pay for coaching and training
⠀
For me it looks like
✔️Over delivering to current clients
✔️Providing free resources for those need it NOW
✔️Giving where I can
✔️Showing compassion, always
⠀
I’ve been in the game long enough to know we cannot abandon one another
⠀
Free, discounted, full price 🤷🏼‍♀️- WE ALL are paying a price in some way, shape, or form
