I was working 6 days a week, trying to make a much money as I could to pay off debt. ⁣

Then our son came along. When I returned to work I found myself hating every single Monday and living for the weekend. I was working 40 hour weeks plus almost 2 hrs drive time 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘 𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐋𝐄 Day! I felt like I missing out on my family. ⁣

𝘊𝘢𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦?! ⁣

I wanted more time for my family. So I decided to change. I made the risky decision to go down to part-time an opportunity came up that allowed me to cut my travel time down, less hours, and more time to enjoy with my family. But with a cut in hours came a cut in income. ⁣
⁣
When the bill started piling up from infertility,  to house renovations, to new vehicles, I started to question whether I should start working 5-6 days a week again.⁣
⁣
Covid gave me the light at the end of the tunnel. It allowed me reflect on how important watching my son grow up is, and to cherish every single moment. So I talked to a friend who was a stay at home mom making money doing a side hustle. I was already doing the workouts so I thought why not coach as well and try to make that little bit of extra income that I was missing.⁣

What I never imaged was: ⁣

  • Cuando tomo alcohol, soy consciente de que ya no es bueno para mi hígado o mi cuerpo. Pero no tiene por qué ser taaan malo para mi glucosa en sangre. ⁣( La explicación en si de la glucosa es bien compleja pero les resumo en algo y ya luego en mas posteos etc voy a ir explicando. Toda esta info quito de fuentes de confianza porque repito, no doy doc ni nutri).

Los alcoholes que te salvan de una montaña rusa en tus niveles de glucosa: vino (blanco & tinto)

  • STRESS RELIEF FOR REMOTE WORK // 👩🏼‍💻 So I have a new coworker—can you guess who?? 🤷🏽‍♀️⁣

I'm pet-sitting 🐶 for my parents this month, and she's the best stress relief!! But if you don't have a furry friend while you work remotely, you can de-stress in 3 of my go-to ways right now:⁣
⁣
1) Take a 2 min stretch break! 🤸‍♀️⁣
Shrug your shoulders up and down to loosen them. Then place your fingertips on your shoulders, bring your elbows forward, down, and back like an elbow butterfly. Lastly, shake out your arms for 10 sec and let them fall completely by your sides. ⁣
⁣
2) Take 3 deep belly breaths. Nice and sloooooow. 🧘‍♀️⁣

3) Turn off notifications and set a timer for 25 minutes to focus on just ONE task. You'll get a lot more done and feel way more relieved. ⁣

You can say anything, today I made mine, you are worth more than your mistakes. I beat myself up so much and tell myself I’m stupid when I make a clumsy mistake. I am using my sankalpa to tell my body and mind I am worth more than my mistakes, I am worthy and have a lot to give. I’ve been loving adding yoga nidra into my practice and am slowly building up the length. Let me know if you have tried yoga nidra!

Wenn im Yoga von Umkehrhaltungen die Rede ist, dann sind damit Asanas gemeint, bei denen nicht nur der Oberkörper, sondern auch Beine und Becken gleichzeitig über dem Kopf schweben.⁠⠀

I feel like I've been pretty bad at balancing different things in my life recently, I've been very all or nothing on everything and only focusing on one thing at a time.
