  • Has your core got stronger? 🙌🏼 During lockdown I did many Bodyweight home workouts, which included more core exercises. As a result I was able to hold this L position for 2 hours 5 mins today 💥👏🏼

Our core is often neglected because it’s an area that we “don’t see” 👀 If we train legs, we notice change in our legs. If we train chest, we notice a change in our chest...but our core is different. Yes you can get a tighter, firmer waistline but you need a low body fat percentage for you to notice a change. Due to the complexity of the torso, the core has many deeper muscles which we can’t see. So how do you know if you’re core is getting stronger? Try an exercise that involves balance, challenges your stability & engages your abdominals & lower back. Then you will notice your core strength has got stronger!

Hoy quiero hablaros sobre lo que yo pienso acerca de la aceptación de nuestros fallos, el saber escuchar a los demás y el hacer autocritica. Creo que estas cosas son esenciales para avanzar en la vida y aprender en cualquier campo, ya seas principiante en algo o avanzado. Nunca tendrás la verdad absoluta ni sabrás de todo sobre algo, te lo aseguro. La persona que de verdad quiere superarse a sí misma y avanzar en la vida, será humilde y estará abierta a escuchar a los demás, aceptar críticas constructivas y consejos; estos son cosas que valoro mucho en una persona. Las personas ególatras y orgullosas muchas veces se estancan y por lo general, acaban siendo personas solitarias. Yo diría que es posible aprender en constante soledad, alcanzar tus metas y conseguir el éxito si así lo deseas pero yo creo que no será un éxito tan duradero ni tan reconfortante como te puede aportar el éxito que consigues gracias a las relaciones interpersonales que construyes por el camino. ¿Vosotros qué pensáis?

  • Personally I think we spend too much of our time worrying about situations that don't concern us, or will serve no significance in our daily lives.  

I really try to not let things crawl beneath the surface of my skin because I simply don't have time for it.

I don't honestly have the motivation to want to stick my nose into situations that don't belong to me.  My thought is, "If I don't believe you should have a say in my life, why should I have one in yours?"  

Hell, I don't even like dealing with "EXTRA" situations in my own life.  I do what I can to live simplistic, make myself happy, laugh, put a smile on my face, I spend all my energy on positive things leaving next to no room for much else.  

Who else likes to live a drama free lifestyle?

Something I have learnt to embrace is letting go of of expectations, especially unrealistic ones such a fear of failure or fear of complications.

It’s so easy to become absorbed In the expectation that what every business idea, goal or vision has to work over night otherwise it will never work. 
Time is growth and growth is power - stop fearing societies perception of ‘failure’ because there is no such thing .. just because plan A doesn’t work doesn’t mean the alphabet is null and void! You still have 25 more letters to go...

Innovation and creation is not a click of the fingers and boom it’s there - it comes through growth which can only be achieved through trial and error!

  • ⚡️CARDIO⚡️

Cardio is not a part of my training regime. In fact I try my hardest to avoid it. Especially during the last 4 months when I have had limited access to weights!
.
Maintaining a fit physique has come down to my food intake and getting the most I can out of resistance band training.
.
I have implemented the stairs for cardio during my final week of my mini cut down to increase my energy output and because with the lack of weights available over the last 4 months - it feels really good to push the intensity and get my HR right up!
BUT I’ve chosen to only do this in the final week for a reason. It doesn’t benefit my main goal of maintaining or building muscle.
.
Cardio has in fact been shown to negatively impact strength & muscle growth in training. 
.
My advice to any girls who want to build a booty, gain muscle or become stronger... is to lay off the cardio!
.
‼️Cardio can be used as a great tool for fat loss or CV health, BUT it shouldn’t be used as a necessary method to maintain your weight.
.
‼️If you feel like you’re on a hamster wheel, training cardio to undo “damage” rather than training to progress and improve each time - then you’re doing it wrong!
.
I’m not at all against cardio, and in fact I LOVE to implement it when and where I can. But if you want significant progress in any of the above, then the BEST and fastest way to achieve it will be resistance training and the right balance of macros!
.
I’m enjoying my last 3 days of smashing the staircase before I finally get back into a proper building phase in the gym 💪🤪
