  • The truth is that I never expected to get here. I never expected to even see my toes, fit so comfortably in small places, be less than 400lbs, not think about my weight holding me back or what section I could shop in, especially not to finally feel so alive. I spent 25 years of my life trying to lose weight. I spent so many years losing just to gain it all back. My family tried to help me by putting me in weightloss programs in 7th grade and even wanted to submit me to the biggest loser but I refused as I felt it in my heart I'd lose the weight one day. On holidays and social gatherings they begged me to try to lose weight and I could tell they feared for my health. Sometimes you're not ready to change but when you do finally make that decision you never know how much you're capable of or how much you could change your own life. Sometimes you have to also remind yourself what you're doing it for or even how much the people in your life need you. Start today!

  • JUST KEEP GOING 👊🏼💥 The biggest difference in these pictures lies within my mentality. I remember continuing to gain weight and thinking, “I’m already fat. What’s this gonna hurt?” Now, I eat to nourish. I do cheat on keto. I don’t limit the fun I can have, but I know what’s good for my body and I know I deserve to treat myself better than that. I hope you know what you deserve and I hope you never settle for less. Sending positive vibes and bacon 💕

  • There is no failure except in no longer trying. Never never never give up 💕 I constantly have to remind myself how far I’ve come with my journey. And as I get closer and closer to the 1 year mark post gastric sleeve surgery, I think about how different my life would be right now had I not made the decision to choose this path. I remember being so scared of sharing this journey and having hesitations for fear that I would be judged but I had to let go of those and allow myself to make my own decisions rather than let myself be influenced by the judgement of others. I knew that it would was beneficial for my future health and happiness and I worked incredibly hard to ensure its success. Had I not, I wouldn’t be where I am today. 🙌🏼 Remember that when making decisions because at the end of the day, no-one has to live with the consequences of them but you ✨⁠

  • Na 11 weken is het einde bijna in zicht en van deze resultaten had ik alleen kunnen dromen in een periode zonder sport..⁣

Toen ik begon met Ruggengraat kreeg ik te horen dat ik door een blessure niet meer mocht sporten, voor mij echt een domper, maar m’n coach zei al dat voeding leidend is dus alles zou goed komen! Maarja dat moest ik eerst zien voordat ik het geloofde natuurlijk.. En hier is het resultaat! Zo’n 6 kg afgevallen, en weer vol zelfvertrouwen, zonder ook maar één training. Dusja ik geloof m’n coach nu zeker!!!⁣
⁣
Het is het super fijn dat ik hem altijd een berichtje kan sturen, of het nou erover gaat wat ik kan doen voor een bbq, of ik zin heb in wijn, of dat ik écht niet lekker in me vel zit en even niet weet wat ik moet.. M’n coach vrolijkte me op, gaf tips over voeding en gaf me het zelfvertrouwen wat ik soms miste.⁣

Zodra ik weer mag sporten kom ik terug om nog meer resultaat te behalen, maar voor nu heb ik resultaat behaald wat ik alleen écht niet had kunnen doen en waar ik m’n coach onwijs voor wil bedanken!⁣

Ohja.. En wie wil er nou geen coach die je appt dat je nog 40 gram chocola mag als avondsnack? 😍⁣

On a daily basis I just want to share my knowledge and what’s working for me to combat physical ailments, depression, anxiety, and my self esteem. If you need a place to start- I’ll be here 🖤 ⠀

I never expected to even see my toes, fit so comfortably in small places, be less than 400lbs, not think about my weight holding me back or what section I could shop in, especially not to finally feel so alive. I spent 25 years of my life trying to lose weight. I spent so many years losing just to gain it all back. My family tried to help me by putting me in weightloss programs in 7th grade and even wanted to submit me to the biggest loser but I refused as I felt it in my heart I'd lose the weight one day. On holidays and social gatherings they begged me to try to lose weight and I could tell they feared for my health. Sometimes you're not ready to change but when you do finally make that decision you never know how much you're capable of or how much you could change your own life. Sometimes you have to also remind yourself what you're doing it for or even how much the people in your life need you. Start today!

  • I don’t think any picture I ever took could ever quite depict how I FELT being 300 pounds. (But this one comes pretty close 🙈🙈🙈) I got to the point where it felt like my whole body was under pressure. Just sitting down was uncomfortable because my chin pushed against my chest while my belly folded over my pants, thighs, and into itself. No position was comfortable and even standing hurt my ankles and knees. ⠀
Life at 300 pounds felt miserable. I’m so thankful to not be suffocating under my own skin anymore. One of my favorite NSV’s (non-scale victories) is the fact that I can cross my legs now!! COMFORTABLY!! I feel like such a lil lady 💁🏼‍♀️🍸🌹⠀

This is one of those easy peasy meals.

Here’s what you need:
Caulirice from the frozen section
Kielbasa sausage
Onion
Eggs
Olive oil
Soy sauce or liquid aminos
Sesame oil (I used the spicy one for more heat 🔥)
*optional Serrano pepper
.
Sauté chopped kielbasa, onion, garlic, and optional serrano pepper in olive oil until onions are translucent then add frozen caulirice and sauté together. Add soy sauce and sesame oil. Move caulirice to one side of the pan and add scrambled eggs-Mix together and serve!

  • #transformationtuesday Today as I reflect on this journey, all I can think about are the people that have helped and encouraged me throughout this process. I’m so grateful for each and everyone of you that have motivated and inspired me along this journey. Because of you, I’ve pushed myself past my limits and have done things I’ve never done before.

  • Hard to even remember the girl in the 1st picture but that was me almost 4 years ago. I was looking back to try find photos of myself for the transformation and could hardly find one taken of myself from those "years". Growing up I never had to worry about my weight. People would call me a blade of grass. I started unhealthy habits as soon as I was out of my parents house and that formed into gaining around 60 extra pounds my body wasn't used to.. I hated myelf and honestly everything around me. It wasn't until after the birth of our 1st daughter and a pretty bad health scare while giving birth that I decided to try make a change. So 3 months postpartum I laced up a pair of old runners and started speed walking, which turned into jogging, which now turned into a passion of mine, even a marathon! 3 years ago I never thought I could look, feel and do the things I do today! If I can do it anyone can do it💪. Not saying the road is easy. Infact it was one of the toughest mental and physical hurdles I have ever crossed but, so worth every second of tears and pain.  #transformation #transformationtuesday (even though its Thursday 😂) Thank you running! You changed my life 💯😃 From 230lbs ->145lbs and a MARATHONER 😃
