  • Was just feeling a good steak today.

Smashed my daily 5k + arms/back at the gym today and feasted on this beauty for a late lunch / early dinner.
.
NY strip from @wholefoods , let it sit out for about 30 minutes, seasoned with salt & pepper, then cooked in castiron pan basted in herb butter, rosemary, and garlic. Medium rare for me. .
Served with some quick and easy greens (spinach, cucumber, and fresh watercress)
.
And of course some homemade horseradish sauce. This is so easy and a must do. Mix some sour cream, horseradish, lime juice, mustard, small amount of dill, sea salt + pepper.

What was the highlight of your weekend?? The weather was beautiful here. I spent it back home after spending the last couple away from Cincinnati. Back on the road early tomorrow morning to work on @almondlovewith - if you haven’t tried our new tortillas, I promise you want to! They’re freakin delicious.

Correct training and plan and correct diet structure to suit Alice and her lifestyle.

Inches and pounds dropping off but more importantly her shape is really coming on already.

  • I hate to break it to you but...

All those crunches and abs workouts you’ve been doing isn’t going to give you abs...

Why?

Well because we can’t spot reduce.

Believe me... I WISH it was as easy as picking a spot on our body, doing exercises for that area, and watching the fat just vanish!

But that’s not how it works.

Will doing ab exercises or core work make those muscles stronger? Maybe.

Just because you can’t visually see your abdominal muscles doesn’t mean they’re not there. And it doesn’t mean they aren’t getting stronger from some exercises that you’re doing.

They might just be covered up by layers of fat.

Sooo then... How do we get those abs to start poopin’??

Well... I can tell you it’s not going to be from endless ab workouts or crunches and then checking to see if the dreaded belly fat disappeared.

It’s going to come from a tailored nutrition plan (notice I didn’t say any random diet)

And from following a strategic exercise regimen (That doesn’t involve endless cardio and might involve lifting weights that are heavier than 5lbs)

THAT paired with TIME and CONSISTENCY is what will get that 6 pack showin’

  • Picking one that inspires you and repeating it over and over again will not only calm those negative thoughts but also cause an empowering effect to happen.

One that I have found really powerful is ‘Your doing this on Purpose with Purpose’. 
⁣
I think this works so well for me is it highlights two things. The first is I made the choice to be improve and secondly only I can get in my way. 
⁣
The second really makes me question if I’m doing it with Purpose or am I just doing as I’ve always done in the past.

Give it a go and share how you got on!

•1 su bardağı yulaf 
•1 avuç fındık (ceviz,badem hepsi olur) 
•Bitter çikolata 

Üzeri İçin;
•10 adet kiraz 

Yulaf ve fındığı un haline gelene kadar robottan çekiyoruz.Biraz ıslatarak şekil almasını kolaylaştırabiliz (alt tabanın renkli olmasını isterseniz, benmari usulü erittiğimiz bitter çikolatadan 1 kaşık kadar ilave edebiliriz). Tart şekli verip 180 derecede 10 dakika kadar pişiriyoruz. Bu sırada kirazların çekirdeklerini çıkartıp çatalla biraz ezdikten sonra robotta bızzzlatıyoruz ve akışkan bir kıvam aldırıyoruz.   • ‘’Ik kan er niet vanaf blijven!”⁣⁣

Snoepgoed bij de benzinepomp. De stukken taart op kantoor. De frikandelbroodjes van de AH. De trek naar zoetigheid na het eten. De craving naar chips in de avond. De cocktails aan het strand. Lastig is het. Je wilt het zó graag laten staan, maar je kunt het niet weerstaan. Hoe los je dit op?🧐⁣⁣
 ⁣⁣
Je kunt je wilskracht gebruiken. Jezelf pushen om het niet te kopen, het vriendelijk af te slaan en het niet te eten, maar je wilskracht rekt niet onbeperkt. Na een lange, vermoeiende dag is de rek er wel een beetje uit en heb je nou eenmaal een minder grote voorraad zelf-controle. Je gaat misschien uiteindelijk toch voor die craving en de volgende dag begint het weer opnieuw.🔄⁣⁣
 ⁣⁣
Jezelf iets onthouden is zwaar. Het is een gevecht dat je eerst lijkt te winnen, en vervolgens altijd verliest. Misschien win je het een dag, een week of zelfs een maand. Maar wilskracht raakt op wanneer het te lange tijd in restrictie zit. Dat is bewezen en daar doe je niets aan.🙃⁣⁣

Wat nou als we gezond leven helemaal anders benaderen? Als we onszelf niets onthouden, maar juist iets gunnen? Richt je op toevoegen, niet op schrappen. Maak je niet langer druk om ongezonde voeding. Maak je druk om gezonde voeding. Maak het je doel om zoveel mogelijk gezonde voeding binnen te krijgen. Verleg dus je aandacht. Dit kan een gevoel van craven doen afnemen. Je gaat niet direct de concurrentie aan met je zoete of hartige trek. Je houdt je dan niet eens bezig met het niet eten van die chips. Je houdt je bezig met het wél eten van heerlijk gezonde alternatieven. Gaandeweg werk je zo de minder gezonde producten  ongemerkt uit je leven.⁣⁣

Doordat je tussendoor een stuk fruit eet, krijg je minder trek in snoepjes. Als je toch trek krijgt, pak je nóg een stuk fruit. Doordat je een volkoren cracker met smeerkaas 20+ eet, hoef je niet eens te denken aan chips. Je Kvarg met walnoten was zo voedzaam en verzadigend dat een stroopwafel niet eens bij je opkomt. Je kunt net zo veel genieten van een Cola –zero als een normale Cola.🍷⁣⁣

Gezonder eten is eenvoudig, als je het lekker en gemakkelijk maakt voor jezelf.☺️

So, the gyms are opening back up soon, which for a lot of people is super exciting & the day can’t come soon enough. But, not everyone is going to want to go back straight away, as we are still in a pandemic and the idea of going into a gym can be extremely anxiety provoking and not feel ‘safe’. 

So, this post is for anyone who has decided to stay home for the foreseeable, I got you sis!!

Here are a few things to consider implementing into your home workout routine that will help you reach your fitness goals without having to set foot in the gym. 👇🏼

🔘Invest in some equipment. It’s unrealistic to think you’re able to get a cable machine or leg press at home, but you can invest in some basic equipment. I would recommend a couple of dumbbells, or a kettlebell, a resistance band and a skipping rope. You can do a lot for your fitness without using cables or the treadmill, so don’t feel like you need to spend £££ on gym stuff!

🔘Invest in a coach. Working out from home is difficult sometimes, because it’s easy to get distracted by the tv, or the washing up, or the dog. Investing in a coach is the perfect tool to keep you on track and to make sure you are progressing every week to hit your goal. And if you’re not paying for a gym membership anymore, then it could be a good time to invest in something more personal!!

🔘Invest in your diet. If you’re working out from home, then why not cook more from home too. Spend more time sourcing fresh produce, learning a new recipe, getting myfitnesspal and spending time tracking your food to educate yourself. Food is fuel so its worth spending time learning about what you’re putting into your body every day.

Remember, your health is an investment, not an expense!💰 🥰
