  • Dear Abhimanyu,
The pain that comes from unrequited love is surely deeper than the ocean. When everyone praises you for the way you loved and your friendship, I adore you for the courage you showed.
Though you truly depicted how hard it is choosing friendship over love, but you did it with a smile.
The way you were always there for Bindu seemed unrealistic. The way you held her at all times, even when it cost you your happiness. The way you ended your story just the way you wanted to finish it (living the life you always wished but just in your story). The way you handed over the script to Bindu to just keep the story yours. That feel you lived when you just saw things falling together, when every dream you had with that one person seemed to come true.

You brought up the question that recites in the corner of every heart: Why does the world never teaches us how to unlove?
When you said: “Pyaar karna bahut log sikhaate hai.. par afsoos us pyar ko bhulaate kaise hai.. ye koi nahi sikhaata”, I felt it.
You just perfectly showed how when in love we tend to keep trying, until we fail and then just go for one more try. You were alongside the person who just believed and lived life to the fullest.
The way you danced your heart out is each one of us losing the hope on love but gaining an insight into life. You came out a perfect example of how we see heartbreak as an end, but life is much bigger than it.
Out of a thousand ideal loving men, I would choose to be you.
Thank you for giving me the courage to nurture a friend, a person over love. “Socha tha sikhaoge ki pyaar se pyaar kaise na karein,
Tum to hume tum se hi mohabbat kara gaye” ♥️ I adore you!
Mohit ♥️

  • At first, breakups feel terrible, pushing us into a place from which we see no escape, breaking us inside out. But as years pass by things will improve and you will be healed. Once you are healed, it will turn out to be the most beautiful and happiest memory in your life. That is because you made wonderful memories with that person and only those memories tend to stay with us forever.
When Abhi and Bindu finally met after years of no contact, they felt they were back home again. They started talking about their code for emergency calls and all those silly things they did together. Sitting there together like they used to in childhood, made them happy.
When they held their hands, that touch was all that was needed to take them back to their beautiful days of happiness.
Yeah! They created beautiful memories together, which now lives only within them Unlike other love stories, their love story had a sad ending. Because each story is different and has its own beauty.
Life is made of these small moments that you never know will happen once it is over.
Maybe it's those moments we live for, those tiny bits of happiness.
Every breakup is unique in its own way, that carries with it laughter, pain, hugs, and kisses that are worth cherishing until the end of times.💕

  • Dear Bindu, @parineetichopra

You were a crazy girl, indecisive, maturely immature girl. You were pretty messed up but carried a heart full of pure love. You were daring and at the same time very soft hearted. You were a deadly combination Bindu. You were a woman with high hopes and aspirations. You found peace in singing and had your own days of setbacks , trying to heal.
.

You loved freedom. You never wanted to be trapped until your soul didn't agree. You left things mid-way because you knew your heart won't be accompanying with you for that very thing. You kept running away from life because you had certain commitment issues and fears that never let you to stay longer in anyone's life. While your character unfolded I found myself in you from time to time, in several instances.
.
When you left Abhimanyu , I know how hard it would have been for you but you did that cause you loved him as your best friend alot more.. The world sees how you hurt him with your no and sudden disappearance, but I knew how it felt like leaving the only person who knows you inside out, the one who was your only best friend, your Abhi. .
Today I hope you are happy being Mrs. Nair. :') Abhimanyu keeps remembering you as his favourite tune . And what do I say more? Your character is really close to my heart. I have lived myself throughout your journey in the movie. .

Zindagi se behad pyaar tha tumhe aur khud se ussey bhi zyada, in the end, you taught me the same, the art of self love. You embraced life as it came to you.

With love,
Someone like you.

  • MERI PYAARI BINDU, it's been 3 years and 3 days you have been occupying a really special place in my heart! You are one movie that speaks about the unrequited love but in a beautiful manner. You had me instantly when I saw Abhimanyu speaking about his Pyaari Bindu who was like the rays of sunshine to his dark life. I felt like I had been travelling through the streets of Kolkata with them witnessing every little moment.
.

My heart did ache alot in the end; there was ending but an unexpected one. But ya It was not that deceptive cause in my heart, The woman Abhimanyu talks about shall forever be His Pyaari Bindu. May be your ending didn't match with that of Abhimanyu's book but you both had won my heart. .

You didn't just speak about friendship, love, heartbreak. You talked about how beautiful is real friendship & true love, about how there is no such endings in love stories, it is all about how we want to shape it. While Abhimanyu let go of his only love Bindu, for whom he could do anything and everything, There was Bindu who placed friendship over everything and decided to move out of the relationship cause she knew she could have never provided the love Abhimanyu deserved in return as a lover. .

The whole movie revolved around two individuals who were completely different. You show them growing up listening to the old songs of 90s and they are all afeemi when they find their love blossoming amidst the chaos. Then everything shatters when reality hits them and they realise "Mana ki hum Yaar nahi, lo taye hai ki pyaar Nahi". .

The whole movie hits the emotional corners of my heart very aptly and in the same time brings me closer to practicality and the other side of love, the art of letting go. To Abhimanyu and Bindu, may be you didnt end up together this time Parr there is always a next time ...So, - Raaste mein jo Milo toh, haath milane Ruk Jana, Saath mein koi ho tumhare Durr se "Na" tum muskana, "Woh Muskan ho aisi jismein ikraar ho aur dono ko afeemi sa lage Woh pyaar dubaara". .

With happy tears,
- Sonali.

  • It's been 3 year since, Meri Pyaari Bindu has been released and won over our hearts. But, before saying anything about this movie, I must admit that this is certainly one of the best sorrowful lovely films I've watched. The movie is not like your typical-Bollywood love stories, where a boy and a girl met each other and eventually get together. It's about those love stories that aren't meant to be completed but are beautiful the way it is and that's the charm of this film.

So, let's meet two crazy-music fans and best friends forever who has spent their childhood and adolescence period together, sharing each and every moments.  Abhimanyu Roy aka Bubla ( @ayushmannk ), a MBA professional turned best-selling author and Bindu ( @parineetichopra) , who is very ambitious, crazy or you can say 'aafat' and always full of joy but a bit mess inside. Eventually, from friendship they fell in love but as usual Bindu was tad selfish and has a old habit of leaving everything half-way and keep on falling in and out of love but on the opposite side Abhi is like a home to her, a shoulder-to-cry-on, a hand-to-hold, a perfect person to share all the worst times or the happiest ones as well. He loves Bindu the way she is and have always supported her. But, at the end things changed and Bindu got married. Abhi goes through a breakdown due to the heartbreak but at the same time he feels fine to know that she has finally settled down in her life. For everyone she might be Mrs. Nair but for Abhi she will always be her crazy, maverick Bindu who wants to try everything and go everywhere.

So Bindu, I still remember that scene very clearly when Abhi danced his heart out with you and he might have realised that it's time to put a closure to memories of his unrequited love. When I saw Abhi, I felt it when he said ki, " Pyaar karna bohot log sikhate hai par afsoos usse bhulate kaise hai ye sala koi ni sikhata". There are some of the movies which changes your life, there are some of the characters which feels like the oldest friends and there are some lines on the screen that stick with you forever. Abhi and his words are one of them.....( continues in the comment section)

  • To Abhimanyu,⁣
⁣
I still remember the number of times I chased him, wanted him to be mine just like how you wanted Bindu to be yours, hoping that one fine day I'll be with him just like how you imagined. Some love stories aren't meant to be completed, but are beautiful when left incomplete and yours was one of it.⁣
⁣
Selfless love and care, uncountable memories of watching splendid sunsets together, late-night movies and always being there for her yet it wasn't enough to keep her beside you. I still wonder what made Bindu leave the kind of love you did. Was there something actually missing in you or Bindu was looking for a different kind of love all over?⁣
⁣
Despite knowing each other better than nobody else, it couldn't keep both together. Bindu was as complicated as simple as your love was. Like the sea meets sand but can't be together, similarly was your bond.⁣
⁣
"Zindagi side 'A' se side 'B' ki tarah ghoomti gaano ki reel ki tarah hi toh hai, kabhi koi gaana itna pasand hai ki khatam hone se dar lagta hai. Kabhi koi gaana poore din honthon se jaane ka naam nahi leta aur kabhi koi gaane ke sirf dhun yaad reh jaati hai."⁣
⁣
Aren't some people among the ones we are always scared to lose but all we can do is hold on to their memories for the rest of our lives.⁣
⁣
The best thing about you was your honesty and your love with full of expectations, unlike ideal love stories that are sold everywhere like you said "Happy endings sell better" but your story wasn't one of it.⁣ Like usual love stories, your loves story didn't have a happy end like the society always thinks about.⁣
⁣
When I saw you, I felt you, word by word with all emotions cause, "Pyaar karna bohot log sikhate hai afsos uss pyar ko bhulate kese hai, ye saala koi nahi sikhata" and these words still echo in my ears because it's easy to love someone and difficult to let it go.

You loved her enough to let her go. You made me cry in the moment but made me smile for the rest of my life.⁣

"Bindu and Abhimanyu, your friendship is not much different from all the teenage friendships that starts between a boy and a girl with the basic foundation of making promises of that best friends forever kind of friendship. "Pyaar karna bahut log sikhate hai, par us pyaar ko bhulate kaise hai ye koi nahi sikhata", but Bindu, you taught Abhimanyu that, "pyaar to ek dhun k Tarah hai, use bhulaya nahi jaata, us pyaar k dhun ko to apne favorite song k Tarah sunkar enjoy Kiya jaata hai". Both of you taught us what it is to be in friendship. You did mistakes that all of us do when we were or when we will be at your stage (that's what felt so real about you guys). Bindu, the way you enjoys your life like an icecream, "jisko pighlane se pehle uska full maza le lena chaiye", is so hearttouching and attractive about you. You did what makes you happy and more of it what makes you feel satisfied. You always loved yourself and that's why you were happy with all of your decisions.

Abhimanyu Roy, you are my dream boy. Even though Bindu fall out of your love and relationship, you still decided to choose Bindu's friendship over your love, and that made me fall in love with you. Your love is so pure and selfless that in the end when you handled those papers (on which you penned down yours and Bindu's story), you told her that you don't want that paper and yours story to get printed and read by people because "ye hamara hai or hamara hai rahega". Yours and Bindu's love story was incomplete in real life but you made sure to give it a happy ending in fictional form in that paper.

Your incomplete love story made me cry but your perfect friendship story gifted me a widest smile and a little hope to my heart. And this incomplete love story but the most complete friendship story was beautifully and perfectly portrayed in the last song, "Maana ke hum yaar nahi" and the last line you said, "Bindu aaj kisi k wife hai, kisi ki bahu hai, kisi ki maa hai, lekin mere liye vo aaj bhi meri pyaari Bindu hai, meri pyaari Bindu". • Abhimanyu Bubla Roy was just like me. He loved old songs, was a compulsive writer and a sucker for nostalgia. The box office didn’t pamper this gem but this film will always be special. This was clicked at St Xaviers college in the summers of 2016. We witnessed kaal baisaakhi the next day. 🌧 It was my first. And I fell in love with Calcutta.

You made me cry in the moment but made me smile for the rest of my life.⁣
⁣
From,⁣
The girl looking for her Abhimanyu.⁣

  • Unrequited love, one-sided love, incomplete love - they suck. The feeling is pathetic, they mess you up, they mess your heart and mind in a way that it becomes difficult... very difficult to stay yourself. They knock the breath out of you like a sucker punch and leave you with a bruise that hurts in more ways than one. Trust issues, confidence issues are just the beginning of it - especially if you've atleast tried to be the nice one throughout, trying to do what's right, hoping for things to fall into place.

It sucks. It really does. Abhimanyu knows this feeling too, all too well.

Not too many people knew him the way Bindu did. And the day he saw her, he knew this was it. They were just children, yes, but something inside him just lit up when he saw her. As years passed and their friendship deepened, his heart became brighter and brighter in love's light, in Bindu's light. And when they were finally together, not just friends anymore, he couldn't wait to pop the question - the answer to which would give their story the happy ending he always waited for. Just that it never happened.

Years later, when he's meeting a now-married Bindu again, a part of him hopes that she'll be unhappy. So that he can take her out of it. So that they can find the happy ending she once ran away from.

But alas! When they do meet, she's found hers already. With her husband, with her daughter. She looks at peace with herself, more than she ever was, even when she was with him. And as much as that realisation stings, he now finds something he never had before - a closure.

Unrequited love, one-sided love, incomplete love - they suck. But that doesn't mean they aren't love stories on their own. Abhi and Bindu loved each other - happy ending or not. The incompleteness in their story sort of completed it, because at the end of it all, there were no hard feelings - just acceptance. As they look at each other and smile, they realise that what they had, what they still have, remains their own - something beautiful in its own unfulfilled glory. After all, they are still bound, with beautiful memories the two will perhaps forever silently cherish.

• This film is just moments of hopeless, all consuming love that we've all experienced and then the heart break that ensues. It filled my heart with so much joy and love & then broke it into a million pieces. The feeling we all know only so well.
Such a beautifully written and crafted film; the kinds you encounter very rarely in our times. It'll make you feel all kinds of mush. @_a_r_9 you made me weep uncontrollably through the film and I cannot compliment you enough about your immense grip on your craft as a director. I saw you in every frame of the film and for all the waiting; I must confess it has been more than worth it. The stars shine for you #AkshayRoy
@parineetichopra you steal the show as the effervescent bindu and @ayushmannk you make the heart melt as Bubla Roy. Splendid job by the entire team.
