I just saw your ad and definitely need maternity bras so I clicked on your profile to see if I’d support based on if you’ve used your voice or not & then came here to see if you posted anything regarding the centuries of racism & I found this post. Literally couldn’t even tell “who you’re with” and “why you’re muting.” If you’re going to stand with us, you need to turn it up a notch instead of coasting by with this safe caption.

@wearlively no you don't. Stop riding on the coat tails of social injustices to promote your company

@shaylakiare Instagram Profile 21 June, 2020

Look at the race in most of your Instagram post... no representation !!!

@wearlively then why of the 40+ styles of bra are only 4 of them in darker skin shades that match me and they are ALL unavailable. Clearly our melanin is an afterthought of your product team. I will not be ordering from you because you are taking advantage of the BLM movement by putting up these stupid support posts and NOT serving your black clients in the same way that you are serving your white client.

It’s been a month since I placed my order and it hasn’t even shipped yet!!! 👎

Thank you @wearlively for always supporting me! I’ve enjoyed attending your NYC events at the flagship store for the past couple years. Your last forum on diversity in beauty and fashion was A+ and I’m really proud to be associated with you guys ✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽

Please turn off your ad campaigns for the week. Consider redirecting those funds to a BLM effort.

@krisnash_ Instagram Profile 2 June, 2020

Please consider also pausing your ads through the 7th to amplify the efforts of BLM. Active campaigns appearing in feeds flooded with support for the black community feel tone deaf and unimportant. Please consider lifting up black creators, artisans, artists and black-owned businesses, and/or showing your support by donating to one or some of many credible resources. Much love xx

Your ads are still running. If you are going to participate in the blackout, please turn them off ❤️

@imaniashante Instagram Profile 2 June, 2020

It's great that you're listening, but what else are you doing to help Black communities?

@9millinina Instagram Profile 2 June, 2020

Curious why you are still running sponsored ads?

@danamhoffmn Instagram Profile 2 June, 2020

Pausing for WHOSE voices to be amplified? Muting to learn about what? While you mute yourself, consider muting your advertising budget that is taking up space for black voices to be heard and amplified.

If you have helpful information/resources CONTINUE to share it. Although #blackouttuesday may show solidarity, it can be a damaging to progress by limiting helpful content. ✨

Learning about what? To allow what / which voices to be headed? Listening to who / what?

But are you donating? What's the demographics of your board and corporate officers???
