  • LIVELY was built on the notion of community, a place where you can come as you are, no matter your background or color of your skin. We all have a voice, and as a brand with a mission to empower women to live passionately, purposefully, and confidently to help change tomorrow — we need to use it. Our hearts are hurting alongside the world and our community. So we stand together with you. We encourage you to be kind to one another, share resources, speak up and check in on each other. Together we can do better. #blacklivesmatter

@wearlively then why of the 40+ styles of bra are only 4 of them in darker skin shades that match me and they are ALL unavailable. Clearly our melanin is an afterthought of your product team. I will not be ordering from you because you are taking advantage of the BLM movement by putting up these stupid support posts and NOT serving your black clients in the same way that you are serving your white client.

Super disappointed in this company. I have reached out numerous times about an order and no response. I’d like a full refund

This is long overdue. Nor do I see an apology for the previous tone-deaf post that has remained up for the entire day. That said, what actions will you be taking? Will you be donating? Promoting petitions that ought to be signed? A POC-led company that supposedly caters to women of color should be fighting for those people whose lives (and the ones who came before them) paved the way for Lively to exist and thrive in the first place. Posting a graphic is literally the bare minimum of what can be done to support the communities you claim to care about. If you say you can do better, then put your money where your mouth is. Really, DO BETTER.

This is the first step. I would love to know how this company will take -action- to help those in need during these times! Consider donating as well as bringing up these matters in your stories showing what you’re doing to do your part. These words are kind but they will not instill change, please think about how else you can be proactive in helping black communities across the nation. Consumers are looking to companies and brands to be a part of the change we want to see.
